I’m not a huge fan of big social media, but if there is one thing I trust even less, it’s a banned person’s account of why they were banned.

I once won a million Robux from my dad, but when I tried to collect them while unrelatedly hiding under a blanket, he got mad and banned me from Roblox, his credit card, and later from talking to that helpful woman at his bank. Some bans are entirely unfair.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 year ago

Wow so unfair. You found that credit card in his wallet while he was sleeping fair and square.

Good for you, right ? I mean no TikTok sounds awesome to me. Now get rid of Twitter, Instagram and the other stupid social media stuff and you're pretty much living the dream!

It would have had to been WAY more than Israel/Palestinian issues. Ive seen absolute shit tons of content condemning Israel and supporting Palestine and vice versa. with no filtering of content.

[–] jeffw 19 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I’m guessing there was content calling for mass murder of one side or the other

There's Hebrew text in the first image that's about a POV of some sort.

Is the third video a literal Hamas video?

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 year ago

OP post the perfectly innocent vids that got you unjustly banned

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago (4 children)

Yeah, all centeralized social media is sus, I feel like fediverse is the only valid way forward.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 year ago (2 children)

You people don't even know what the videos were. Why are you immediately drawing conclusions?

[–] Bonesince1997 4 points 1 year ago

These are your fellow fediverse users. Videos could be filled with pure hate, but that doesn't matter.

Because censorship is bad, that's why we're all here

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

Moderation is not censorship. For all we know those videos could show beheadings or call for genocide. TikTok has every right to remove that. Moreover, I think it's their obligation to remove it.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Fuck off and don’t speak for everyone. I’m here because Reddit destroyed third party APIs. I don’t give a fuck about your made up censorship temper tantrum.

Just try not being a bigot and magically, you won’t get your accounts banned and won’t be CeNsOrEd.

[–] kittenzrulz123 2 points 1 year ago

How am I making stuff up or being a bigot? I literally got suspended from Reddit for criticizing Israel killing 10,000 civilians.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago

If I remove a comment that tells someone to kill themselves, am I committing censorship?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It will be as long as it stays open and pure. If enough people come here, it will start drawing attention.

After that it’s possible they’ll flood it with ads and branding in whatever loophole backdoor way they can concoct.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Ad floods happen semi regularly.. they get banned fairly quickly though.

[–] t4k3 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

How about decentralization?

[–] Viking_Hippie 5 points 1 year ago

You're participating in it right now

[–] kittenzrulz123 2 points 1 year ago

Honestly I'm happy that I deleted my Reddit accounts, now all I have to do is stop using YouTube

[–] sv1sjp 5 points 1 year ago

I had a SecurityAwarenesse tiktok account and they just banned me for sharing "illegal content". My videos had more than 50.000 viewers...

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Isn't TikTok run by a Chinese company? I wasn't aware they had a dog in this race, I'm surprised they care.

I'd actually consider it more likely that people would be banned for talking about Ukraine. China has invested interest through Russia in that war.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Actually, part of the deal that allowed TikTok to stay in the US required their US branch to have some US leadership. The leadership that was picked was mostly former intelligence agency people.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Lmao you can post about that in a million ways and with quite a few of them being ban worthy

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

I doubt thats the only video. My entire feed is 80% videos about israel committing war crimes, history of palestine, how israel is funded by the US for its interests in the middle east and to build a canal to no longer rely on egypt

[–] Rhoeri 1 points 1 year ago

This will do nothing to stop the idiots who will complain about this from using it. Need proof?

Just look at what YouTube is doing.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago

YouTube didn't
