Honestly, one hell of a career. I haven't seen his films when he was younger, but I was still able to see him in movies and roles I really liked growing up

He was great as Scrooge in Muppet Christmas Carol
This one, and the Patrick Stewart version my family and I watch every Christmas.
Absolutely yes.
I was afraid I was the only one that loved him in that. Seriously love that movie.
The Italian Job (1969) is a lot of fun. Highly recommend.
You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!

Loadsamoney!
The Man Who Would Be King (1975)
Austin Powers was the first thing I saw him in.
Ah, thought I smelled cabbage
If you love screwball comedies or ever worked in a theater production, the movie Noises Off..(1992) is a hidden gem of a film that Michael Caine takes lead role in. It’s an insane film that gets crazier by the minute!
Underrated, and it goes everywhere.
I recommend Get Carter.
All films of him are of him when he was younger, even his latest one.
I love that scene!
After playing the old guy for like 50 years it seems he has finally gotten old.
I heard one of his last films all his scenes are shot with him seated cos he can't really stand. Bless him. Legend.
Which technically means Michael Caine, Orson Welles, Marlon Brando, James Doohan, and Cameron Mitchell all had the same career arc
Nice
If you pronounce his name in his accent, it sounds like you're saying "my cocaine".
And if you can’t say his name with his accent, saying My Cocaine is how to overcome that
It's very kind of you to share your cocaine like that.
That's how the joke actually goes, I just forgot it. Thanks.
Why is my cocaine retiring?
So long Michael, you were amazing. I'll always remember Jaws 3.
And he'll always remember the house it built.
Wasn’t he in 4, not 3-D?
Hahaha, yes, but the quality of the performance in the film just bleed into other entries in the series for me.
Thanks. I didn't even realize it. I don't even know if I watched 3
Christopher Nolan is panicking rn.
Shame he's a tory
It's okay to separate art from the artist...
Hope I haven't scrolled to your comment...
"The Caine-Hackman Theory", states that at any point in the day you can find a movie playing on TV which stars either Michael Caine or Gene Hackman.
Good for him
One of my favorite actors. He was absolutely amazing as Austin's dad, a dastardly Dirty Rotten Scoundrel, and a benevolent Bartender who offers you life's spilled milk.
I think this time around his retirement will stick lol. Doubt it though.
Wasn’t this a few years ago?
He might have said something before, but this article is from today. His final film, The Great Escaper, just released earlier this month in the UK.
I can't remember, tell me...what's his name? My name...is Michael Caine
And I... am a nosy neighbour.
Recently I've been enjoying the Daily Michael Caine account on IG. The use the obstacle quote is bloody fantastic. A new favourite for me. There are also lots of other great tidbits on acting, stories of his career, and growing up. Amazing he's been able to do it for so long. Many don't even live to 90.
Why is he retiring when he was ONLY SUPPOSED TO BLOW THE BLEEDIN' DOORS OFF?
*"BLOODY"
By dame, is by cocaine.
Oldest of his films that I've seen: Mr. Destiny
That's probably not true, but I have to go to work and can't read his IMDB.
Badassatron retires, world weeps.
Respect to the legend. Enjoy that retirement!
