People are still nice tho, and food is still real good. I believe the city itself is really safe(?) not entirely sure.

Lithuania seems nice. EU & NATO member, and one of the few countries that recognize Taiwan.

I didn't need this image to know that it's a bottom country.

So is it abortion, infanticide, emigration or premature death of females? All of the above? No way that could be natural.

In Qatar's case it's in large part due to immigration. Loads of young men for the building industry, for example.

Population size more than tripled from early 2000 to mid 2010s.

That and gender-based rights and wages...

[–] JJROKCZ 12 points 1 year ago

Right… next to no women are moving there if they have a say in the matter

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Obviously war is a factor with Russia and Ukraine. A lot of dead men.

[–] Noodle07 -2 points 1 year ago

Mostly alcohol I think

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 year ago (2 children)

It says excluding Vatican City, which makes sense, but it just makes me want to know how bad the ratio is for there.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

Well if you have the ratio of priests to children...

[–] telllos 4 points 1 year ago

That poor girl...

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago (4 children)

Wait how do I have to read this? Does Qatar have 3.39 men for every woman????

[–] [email protected] 49 points 1 year ago

Yes. Modern slave work in construction is the root cause.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Would you stay there if you were a woman?

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

You think you'd have a choice?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Yeah, I had to resort to the numbers and rereading to work it out, meaning the visualisation art is pretty much useless.

Its one of those "let's look at how they treat men and women in these countries" situations too.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

What's going on in Latvia and Lithuania?

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 year ago

They're EU member states, and men are migrating for work.

[–] zepheriths 7 points 1 year ago

So that's why Dubai ships in Instagram models

[–] youCanCallMeDragon 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

What is happening in Qatar

[–] SpaceNoodle 50 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That's a weird way to spell "slaves"

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Involuntarily unpaid migrant labour, technically.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] Noodle07 -5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

On the positive side each worker dying on construction sites brings the ratio closer to 1:1

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Hmm yes lets optimise the male:female ratio by murdering people at random by making their lives miserable.

[–] Noodle07 1 points 1 year ago

It was sarcastic

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Not seeing stats for Surf City

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Am I the only one having troubles seeing the data? I see just a black image.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago
