100% chocolate. Shoot I’m just eating straight chocolate chips. Again.

Absolutely agree. The other things are just garbage and a waste of energy to consume. If for some reason you find yourself with trail mix that isn't all chocolate, what you want to do is just heat up the trail mix over a strainer and let all the chocolate fall thru. Let the chocolate cool, throw away the rest, and then eat the remaining chocolate once it hardens. Enjoy the best trail mix ever.
It’s whatever ratio you like! I go heavier on the nuts because I can pretend it’s healthier.
"they're healthy fats! You gotta get your healthy fats in" I say around a full mouth of cashews and macadamia nuts, my fifth such handful
Probably is. Raisins makes many people's blood sugar levels shoot thru the roof. It's basically candies. The only issue with nuts is that it's easy to over eat them and they're hugely calorie dense
Calorie density is the entire point of trail mix. It's not a bad thing.
Makes sense.
Whatever it is, the raisens should be at the lowest with the chocolate just above them. I hate it when my trail mix is more chewy than crunchy.
1% spider so you don't eat too much in one go
But protein though?
I'll go with 1/4 nuts, 1/4 seeds, 1/4 dried fruit, and 1/4 M n' Ms. 😋
Good call, except seeds are too tiny for my taste.
I like pumpkin and sunflower seeds.
Mine is usually 100% chocolate, 0% nuts, 0% fruit. Oops
25% chocolate, 25% peanuts, 25% caramel, 25% nougat = health food of the gods
Is that a Snickers bar?
I like to think of it as a portable trail mix loaf.
Holy shit, mine too!
75% rye chips. The rest can be whatever
75%? Why are you skimping on the rye chips?
That's way too much chocolate for my tastes. I like a low like 5% so you don't get it every handful.
I once had a high school science teacher tell us that trail mix was a homogeneous mixture because there was an equal amount of each ingredient. He was ridiculously incorrect of course but that stuck with me lol.
Mine is more like... 60% nuts, 30% raisins, 10% chocolate, by weight.
0-50-50 because I'm allergic to nuts lol
Fruit and chocolate is a heavenly combo.
60 30 10?
Depends on your goal I guess? I can't imagine chocolate being over twenty percent unless you are just making candy.
Cassandra would like to have a word with you.
Who?
She's the main character a book series called "The Secret" by Pseudonymous Bosch.
Very fun and REALLY cool series.
Cassandra has a trail mix that contains chocolate chip and banana as well.
Banana chips are tasty.
Absolutely. As an Indian, it's a very common snack here...
I'm not sure about the ratio but I just found this at Costco and it's amazing, plus no chocolate which is gross.
Chocolate IS gross. Glad to see another anticho
Finally, more sane people!
The trick is to put knobs on your helmet that control the ratios. That way your trail mix steam can be altered based on the situation.
A helmet? While walking on a trail?
I don't like chocolate in mine at all.
