Traitors, plural. They're all fucking traitors and it's so obvious.
Well I, for one, am shocked that our Russian-controlled puppet government is acting like a Russian-controlled puppet government.
It probably was incredibly expensive to buy Trump's victory, but you can't argue that Vladdy Poot Poot isn't getting value for his money.
Probably not that expensive. We’re talking about guy who bankrupted a casino. He’s endorsed Trump steaks. He might have endorsed more things than Shaq even if none were as large as Shaqueronni Pixza. How much did it cost to get Trump to do a cameo in Home Alone 2? He probably had to pay them.
I'm not just talking about Trump. Nearly the entire Republican party is compromised as well. Also, there's Elon Musk and who knows how many other wealthy, high power individuals. Obviously, they weren't all bought with cash, but even collecting compromising secrets on them is time consuming and expensive. You kind of have to respect the hustle, even though the end result is the complete destruction of the last vestiges of our democracy.
They always say Elon is the world’s richest man. Pretty sure he’s not richer than Putin.
I'm not sure they're all compromised. The ones who aren't are just cowards and go along with everything even though they know it's wrong.
Honestly, I don't know which is worse, the compromised ones doing bad things to help their masters or the cowards who can't muster enough courage to publicly call the first out and in so doing become accomplices.
Ultimately, if they both do Russia's bidding, though, it's a distinction without a difference. Whether coward or asset, they're all traitors.
His cameo in Home Alone 2 was free. He was the owner of the Plaza Hotel at the time and he insisted on the cameo as part of the payment for using the hotel for filming.
Shaq's is the story of a successful person
I love Shaq. I’m an LSU fan so I’m biased but when he was in college, it was often just funny. Some 18 year-old would get it in their head that they should take on Shaq, who was already enormous even if he was still an awkward teen.
Players now make YouTube highlight reel videos to get recruited but I would love to see Shaq against high school players. I played a little high school basketball and I’m 5’7”. Imagine me, an overconfident teenaged idiot, driving into the lane and then finding Shaq there. I’d need bear spray.
I've speculated (without direct evidence) that the Putin regime is giving trump and his team guidance on what to do.
Trump wants to be like putin in terms of power and wealth. They like the authoritarian oligarchical structure, again for power and wealth. Hegseth, musk and the rest will be part of it all. More power, wealth and unrestricted freedom to do anything they want without regulation.
Freeing Andrew tate, the nazi salutes, freeing the Jan 6ers... Tactics to give bullies power to feel free to bully. The worst of the worst. Other bullies see this and feel encouraged to do the same, and then they're protected and pardoned. Anyone against the trump cult see this, and righteously have more fear of fighting back. They want to make us like Russia.
I still hold hope in our country, but its faint. Very pessimistic and cynical. It will have to get way worse before even the maga cultists start to question what's happening.
Trump, Vance, Musk, Hegseth and the rest should be executed for treason. I want them fucking executed.
I'm against execution as a category because we keep fucking it up at every level. Can we settle for stripped of all assets and exiled to a developing country?
Wouldn't that be unfair to the developing country?
I think the northern most point of Greenland would be a good place for him.
I think they can handle a couple old men with no money.
But why should they have to? They had nothing to do with it.
Disagree
Oh that's not an exception. Rebellions regularly fuck up and execute people who weren't collaborators or perpetrators. Like I said, at every level.
Uh huh. Have fun with your pacifist rebellion were mass murders don't get punished in a way they'd care about I guess.
You think they don't care about being locked up in a cell for 23 hours a day the rest of their life? (The actual alternative)
Republicans continuing to betray the United States.
Treason, just like his boss Diaper Donnie is doing.
Suckin those Russian dicks, as usual.
The only time that imperial media admits cyber attacks on russia.
I think we all knew it was happening, and if we didn't wouldn't be surprised
It didn't need to be said, but previous administrations also treated it as a secret so it wasn't just out there for reporters.
Wait, why were we taking offensive actions?
Every nation outside of Russia has been under attack from Russian mercenary groups for over a decade. In the news they're typically referred to as "ransomware gangs". This is a euphemism. The reality is that these groups all have ties back to FSB or other parts of the Russian military structure. They operate with the approval of the Russian government, and they attack Russia's adversaries. They attack civilian infrastructure indiscriminately, disabling power, water, logistics, schools, hospitals... they don't care what the damage is, they don't care if people die because of their actions.
NotPetya is the classic example. That was 8 years ago. Since then the frequency and scope of attacks has increased.
It seems like we also don't care what the damage is or else we would make at least some effort to secure our IT systems. Of course the robber should be blamed but those who leave their doors wide open are guilty too. If we care so much about the consequences of ransomware attacks, why do we not act and avoid shitty software that only compromises security and instead built more resilient systems?
Any security system is only as strong as its weakest link.
Typically that is the humans operating within it.
The US government stepped up it's Cyber security under Obama. And until now they've had an open offer for anyone with basic cyber security certs to get a government job auditing companies and begging them to put modern security practices into place.
Trump shut them down.
Bah, you should see how many gov systems aren't even FedRamp certified. It's crazy how far behind the USA is on basic hardening of systems.
Oh I understand, and somehow that is better than it was.
Because the two countries have been attacking each other economically, politically, intellectually, and digitally for decades now.
Just because people aren't shooting guns at each other doesn't mean a war isn't happening.
The US is also at war with China.
There was a 2 decade pause after the Soviet Union fell apart. And I would qualify that China is lower grade than Russia. We're in an arms race with China and we are both doing intense intelligence work against the other. But China isn't trying to actively sabotage infrastructure or civilian business. The Russians are doing all that because it's all they can do. The Chinese are playing a longer game that they hope will see us pushed out of Asia without warfare beyond the intelligence world.
Maybe because russia has been taking offensive actions against the US and its allies. They helped install agent Krasnov as president FFS.
The US is likely taking offensive actions against everyone not a close ally. Probably even many of those who are.
These days, allies and adversaries have been given reverse roles.
We've been in a cyber and shadow war with Russia for a little over a decade now. The closest we've come to a hot war so far is when Russia ordered it's mercenaries to take an oil field guarded by US troops in Syria. (We were backing the rebels, they were backing Assad) We asked them if they were Russian and the Russians denied it so we unleashed the full power of the US Air Force on the column. Something like 5 guys out of 300 survived.
And ever since then Russia has decided a campaign of political influence, hacking, and physical sabotage was the way to go.
So yeah a country isn't going to just sit there and take that, there should be a response. If for nothing else then to counter their efforts.
A response would be defensive action. This is specified as OFFENSIVE action, which we shouldn't be taking unless we are at war.
I disagree, offensive actions reach out into Russian systems and can have multiple end results from accessing and pulling info, implanting back doors into key systems, probing for systems and capabilities.....
Defensive measures, to me that means firewalls, logging, and hardening. our systems
:::.
Yeah. I think you're getting the scope of things. We're being attacked and these chuds just told our guys to stop fighting.
B/c USA is a genocidal empire. Ofc it's been attacking the alt-empire. It's just completely hidden from us until someone dares to stop it.
