many members of the CenTeam crossed paths with Brian during their careers," said Centene Chief Executive Officer, Sarah M. London. "He was a person with a deep sense of empathy and clear passion for improving access to care. Our hearts are with his family and his colleagues during this difficult time."

Empathy my ass

[–] Etterra 17 points 1 week ago

If by empathy they mean that like most rich people he only cared about problems when they directly impacted himself, then yes he did. Unfortunately for him, when this particular problem impacted him that his empathy did nothing to help him.

These new discoveries just get funnier and funnier.

Next week: "Suspect ate at White Castle the day before."

That backpack in the article has black straps. The one he is wearing in the surveillance caps has white straps. Wtf is going on here?

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 week ago

Looks like the top half is gray, bottom half of the strap is black, the pic in the article has the gray part folded underneath the backpack I'm pretty sure.

Who writes these articles, AI?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

I copy pasted the article into three different supposed "AI Text Detectors" and they said it was likely written by a human.

My guess is its probably written by some random unpaid intern

These detectors have the same reliability as a coin flip

"Write an article that these detectors won't flag it"

[–] halcyoncmdr 5 points 1 week ago

Of course. And you're lucky if a human even glanced at it before it gets posted so they can be the first to "break" a story or new info.

Imagine if police worked this hard to solve every murder, not just ones where a rich person is the victim. They might actually justify all the resources spent on them.
