Addiction is not an emotion, addiction is a disorder.

And besides, contrary to the moral panic media coverage and vibe politics, the vast majority of people who vape do it to get RID of their addiction to the many times worse tobacco.

Thats great and all, but for the 12-14 year old who never smoked tobacco and only started vaping because of the color and flavour assortment, the fact that theese even exist in that category, clearly targeted at children, is a massive problem. If the vape companies really wanted to help adults quit, they would be selling like 2 tobacco-like flavors in unattractive packaging, then I think a lot less kids would vape. Imo (though no personal expirience) Adults wanting to quit don't need the pink cookie dough cotton candy emoji-fied vape...

Targeting children is the main game for tobacco. Their business model paved the way for web 2.0 to target kids with flashy addictive "news feeds".

Vaping at all was already illegal for anyone under 18.

Flavored e-juice is made exclusively for adults and the vast majority using it are adults trying to stop smoking.

When I first started vaping, I made the mistake of choosing a tobacco flavor. The fact that it tasted like tobacco and had less of nicotine hit than the more easily available regular cigarettes made it all but useless.

Other than the "emoji-fied“ strawman, we ABSOLUTELY do. Getting used to inhaling vapors that feel like smoke and contains nicotine but tastes much better is crucial in creating the aversion to tobacco that helps you not to relapse when you run out.

Whether you prefer liquorice like me, cotton candy, fruit flavors, or whatever, the flavor is there for a reason and removing it will cost thousands if not millions of lives as people fail to quit smoking, the number one lifestyle cause of cancer.

Same here and stopped vaping a month or two after it helped save probably DECADES of my life after I had previously tried every other cessation method up to and including prescription drugs..

And when you're on the edge of addiction, you get "anxiety about whether I'm addicted" as a new unlockable!

frantically searching Google for the 'right' answer

Better indulge in your addiction a bit to deal with that anxiety /s

Just sing it! Couple of extra syllables in fee-ee-ling, you're right back on the beat.

I haven't seen inside out 2, but the first one remains one of my favorite Pixar movie ever. I think addiction would make a perfect addition for inside out 3, or whichever number they'll be on when Riley is old enough for a Pixar movie that talks about addiction to be made about her.
