  1. Skittles Mini Gingerbread House Kit

  2. The Skittles one is literally visible one box over.

Somebody post this to /c/ich_eil

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago (2 children)

It's ich_iel (ich im echten Leben, which is the literal translation of me in real life)

And no, this isn't German. Too few vowels. It's Czech or Slovak

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

I've been reading it for years as ich_eil.. Wow

[–] FelixCress 1 points 1 month ago

It is English.

"Skittles mini garbage house kit"

Implying that M&Ms are garbage Skittles, I guess? 🤷

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 month ago

gingerbread

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

It’s obviously from the parallel timeline in which German became the official language of the United States.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

thats swedish yeah?

[–] FierySpectre 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Obviously this picture was taken in IKEA

[–] ObviouslyNotBanana 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

IKEA doesn't sell skittles. Not Swedish enough. It would be a Pepparkakshus with Geléhallon on it called "Värmis".

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

They would call it "Værmis" to sound more Scandinavian even though swedish uses ä and ö

[–] ObviouslyNotBanana 5 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (3 children)

IKEA would never do that. We would NEVER use Danish letters

Cheap IKEA rugs are actually named after Danish places.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Maybe it's a Germany thing because we have Ä and Ö too, but IKEA in Germany has products like "Bjørn"

[–] ObviouslyNotBanana 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

That's weird and I'm gonna write them to complain

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

gø for it! No one holds you bæck

[–] ObviouslyNotBanana 2 points 1 month ago

Det ska jag göra!

Are you trying to tell them something?

[–] ObviouslyNotBanana 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Well, upon researching it I seems to have been half incorrect. It seems most IKEA rugs are named after Danish places. So I was incorrect in saying it's the cheap ones. Looking at the website, however, there are a few without danish place names. But yes, the historical theme is that we are meant to walk on the danish.

They are? Examples, please! I wanna know if it's any of the places here that deserve it! 😁
