I recently learned about gyro-aiming. Leaning does help, since about 2015.

I do a lot of gyro aiming on my controller. Do only need certain parts of my body for that, not the whole.

The L in Luigi's hat? Stands for 'lean'.

He's on that lean? Might explain some of his behavior of late.

Urban Dictionary edit, in case:

Aka. Purple Drank.

A mixture of Jolly Ranchers, Sprite, and codeine that will get you high asf.

When I first got my N64, my brother and I literally couldn't play Mario Kart without tilting the controller. And my cousin always had to slam the controller down into his lap when doing the grapple attack as Kirby in Super Smash Bros. He claimed that mimicking the motions of Kirby made the attack do more damage.

Shit hasn't got real until I am standing up and have tried three different controllers.

I still do this when I'm fully engaged with a game. I just laugh at dipshits who say something like this and say 'You just wish you could immerse yourself in the game as much as I do'.

I'm still convinced I can climb higher ledges ingame when i look slightly upwards irl.

Ducking also makes me harder to hit for sure.

I'm using tilt controls!

How I look trying to sneak in any game.

[–] EtherWhack 7 points 3 months ago

I'm pretty sure there's some psychophysiological benefit to leaning

This made me laugh, and I'm still typing this with a bug grin on my face. Everyone made fun of me for doing this! I don't regret one moment of it.

Lol'd. Leaving the typo for context. This thread made me happy. Thanks everyone!

And here I was thinking it was some kind of a metaphor.

Gyro exists, but goddamn I love this drawing style!

Is this the comic that had the raccoon saying something like "I'm rabid for titties"?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Is all this comic does is take others comic strips that have been done before and make them raccoons and cats?

[–] jaybone 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I think they also put their name in there so it is harder to crop out.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 months ago (3 children)

I just mean I've seen this banter in little 3 and 4 panel comics before. Also a sitcom or two. I think their drawing is original. Just not the joke.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 months ago

Do you have some more examples of this comic ripping off existing jokes?

[–] Joelk111 2 points 3 months ago

Yeah this joke is older than I can remember and this artist didn't add anything to it.

[–] shneancy 2 points 3 months ago

Well there's only so many relatable jokes you can come up with before you repeat something someone already said

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

Getting big Regular Show vibes from this, haha

[–] CaptPretentious 1 points 3 months ago

I remember people doing that way back in the NES era playing DuckTales.
