It really seems like satire, but based off the guy's profile and normal posts I don't think it is.

Am I the only one who didn’t read “cult” first?

[–] [email protected] 35 points 7 months ago

Nope, it was the furtherest word from my mind ha.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 7 months ago

No, you are not. Apparently in my letter repository the N is more famous than the L :)

That's the point.

I came in expecting a post about Aussies' favorite greeting/compliment/insult, and was let down.

Marketing and clicks. People love being able to fill in with their own judgment as well. Look at how one of the top comments is someone reading the Apple one and saying “I thought they were cunts.” It allows them to feel superior, and allows their ideas to be reinforced.

The hard L. May people who can't spell R have their sl*r too?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago

It's a joke.

I thought the C word in question was going to be "customer"

My job is "growing your business and brand on LinkedIn"

[–] [email protected] 6 points 7 months ago

Another shitfluencer, huh.

[–] mean_bean279 4 points 7 months ago (1 children)

I mean… he’s clearly doing something right on that front. Whether we like it or not, his shitposts work. It’s the same for me. I started posting more on my LinkedIn because I noticed our VP was on it heavily and just tag the company… middle management here I come!

He also isnt fucking wrong.

You want people to feel special, like buying your product brings them into an exclusive club, a club that now becomes part of your identity.

I was a bouncer for years and Nightclubs dont have guest lists and VIP areas for nothing. People who can walk past the line, and dont have to pay the cover charge spend way more money because we make them feel like a somebody. Which clubs you're on "the list" at matters to some people.

A cu*t is how you keep your name in their minds

I have Adidas daily shoes and Nike running shoes. It is my small way to bring peace into this world.

[–] mean_bean279 4 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Adidas shoes and Nike sock wearer. Or sometimes Nike shoes and adidas socks. My gym hated me.

[–] Delphia 1 points 7 months ago

Underarmor and New Balance. Fite me.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago

Is he wrong tho?

[–] [email protected] 0 points 7 months ago

Maybe it is only my personal opinion. But, what this guy calls cult, I call “a group of suckers.” Because these people will always get shortchanged for sucking up to one company or one brand.
