Transgender day of visibility has been March 31st for years, Biden didn't co-opt Easter for trans people (not that I would care if he did).

[–] [email protected] 101 points 8 months ago (2 children)

So it’s whoever decided to make Easter the first Sunday after the first Saturday after the first full moon after the spring equinox’s fault, this year.

Hosius of Corduba better be watching out, transphobes are gonna come for his ass

[–] Tarquinn2049 29 points 8 months ago

I will say, this is probably gonna go down as the "most visible" visibility day, due to the coincidence.

So, uh, she's a Christian and doesn't know Easter comes on different dates every year? And that the 31st comes on a different day of the week every year?

[–] Psaldorn 54 points 8 months ago (2 children)

And that Easter is a co-opted pagan holiday for fertility (eggs, rabbits)

Estrogen

[–] NIB 3 points 8 months ago

It is called Pascha(in greek/latin). It is only called Easter in english and german, but Pascha is the OG term. Pascha is used in the majority of european languages, including germanic ones like swedish, danish and norwegian.

That sounds close to math...

She also hasn't figured out that vehicular manslaughter is bad, one thing at a time.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 8 months ago

Seems like a confusing concept for a lot of conservatives.

[–] [email protected] 55 points 8 months ago (1 children)

The amount of dissonance in the rich and famous is astounding.

[–] pennomi 36 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Dissonance is not limited to the rich and famous; they just have more potential to do damage than the rest of us.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 8 months ago (3 children)

Did I claim it to be?

Huh?

[–] [email protected] 20 points 8 months ago (2 children)

This is how I pictured that "huh?"

I can’t remember this scene specifically, but if it’s sudden and immediate bewilderment and confusion, you’ve hit the nail on head 😂😂

I thought we all knew already that anyone was capable of cognitive dissonance because, well, that’s the whole point of cognitive dissonance and why it’s dangerous/tricky

[–] Mog_fanatic 8 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Not everything is an attack relax lol. The comment is just mentioning it's not limited to the rich and famous. That's all.

And not every question asked is asked with outrage…

Maybe you’re reading too far into my 7 word post…

I don’t understand why you made the assumption that I was anything less than chill while asking a pretty simple, neutral toned, 6 word question

Well I can think of reasons, but I’d like to hear your actual rationale

Edit: blocked commenter who responded to this, didn’t want to talk to discuss, just wanted to dictate and push their reality on others. Cyber gaslighting, wild.

[–] [email protected] -2 points 8 months ago (1 children)

I really don't want to talk to you.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 8 months ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago

By all means. They've blocked me it would seem.

Why doesn't Caitlyn Jenner speak at GOP conferences if she hates Biden and trans people so much?

[–] xantoxis 36 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago) (1 children)

She ran for governor of California. As a Republican. She doesn't go to GOP conferences because she might get eaten by the leopards. The political and religious posturing is all a grift, which in a way makes her a perfect Republican, but they can't really claim her, for the same reason.

[–] Retrograde 6 points 8 months ago

Dang those pesky face eating leopards

[–] Jimmyeatsausage 7 points 8 months ago

Because she's only useful to them as a prop? They don't want to see or hear her... ew ...but its useful to have a trans person spout your anti-trans talking points. Reminds me of that Trump rally where he pointed out the like 1 POC there like "look at MY African American"

[–] [email protected] 6 points 8 months ago

because she tried to run for governor of california as a republican and found out that republicans only like her to use her to attack marginalized people

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago

I’m saving this entire thread for when people ask me about the left using motivated reasoning.

[–] Lladra 42 points 8 months ago

Poor thing. Trying to be relevant. Bless her heart.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 8 months ago

Why would you have a problem with that Caitlyn HMMMM??

[–] [email protected] 17 points 8 months ago

JESUS IS RISEN... and she's divine.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 8 months ago

'HE' is risen

Kinky. 😏

[–] Harbinger01173430 13 points 8 months ago (2 children)

Jesus was asexual. Deal with it, republiturds

[–] [email protected] 14 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Jesus was a gay dude with 12 poly partners and 1 hag

[–] Harbinger01173430 2 points 8 months ago
[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Are there any writings to confirm this? it seems like it would have been a big deal.

[–] Harbinger01173430 1 points 8 months ago

I mean, wasn't he supposed to have no wife in the bible?

[–] ransomwarelettuce 6 points 8 months ago (4 children)

Wait, wait, wait . . . From Earth, where TF are u?

[–] Ultraviolet 4 points 8 months ago

I assume it's a placeholder for when there's no location data.

[–] NABDad 4 points 8 months ago

Friggin Earthlings always assuming everyone on the Internet is human.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago

It's like people from parallel universes are on the internet. They must call their version of Earth something else where they're from. =p

[–] [email protected] 3 points 8 months ago

iirc it's one of the first things elon changed where it used to say which client you were posting from because elon got tired of people ragging on him for attacking apple while posting from an iphone

[–] Kase 3 points 8 months ago
