If a source you used was already posted by someone else, the autoMod will leave a message. Please remove your post if the autoMod is correct. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

not really. They're ultra orthodox- like the polygamy is how mormons used to be be; they've gone away from that while this bunch stayed the same. Comparing them to main christianity, they're more like old-school orthodox groups. the kind that still bitch about the Nicene Creed being "progressive"
Less dangerous? Mainline Christianity has killed far more in my lifetime compared to the Mormons.
Mormonism is more dangerous to its own followers. The threat is turned inward.

I'm pretty sure this is the same group which was the subject of "Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey", a doco from the point of view of some women who escaped. It's on Netflix. I recognize the mountains in the background.
It is the same group, Warren Jeffs is technically still that group’s leader from prison, but Samuel Bateman started telling followers that Jeffs died in prison to convince them he is their new prophet and they need to give up their minor daughters to him as wives.
