But at what point does it become a distinct image, if at all?
That's the heart of the Ship of Theseus problem. Nobody knows!
Either that or there is no such thing as identity
how? identities are very clear, the absence of them is impossible to conceive
I would argue that identities are useful, but a very human construct when applied to transformative material like this. The ship of theseus comparison is actually pretty relevant here!
If you think about it, every image we see on the internet could potentially have a Subway behind it.
