Just remember crossover is hardly ever used now. Straight is almost always what you need for typical use.

Do have all of those, yard is fenced 6' fence with 1.5" gap between the bars.

Why till before amendmenting, I would've thought you'd till after to mix it in?

It's roughly 6 weeks till the final frost here in 7b.

I have a spot of grass and ivy that I want to turn into an annual veg garden. I'm waiting on soil nutrient results.

My current plan is to silage tarp all the grass and ivy for 3-4 weeks. Then cover with any needed amendments, 2 inches of compost, 4 inches of wood chips, then tarp again for the remaining 2-3 weeks. When the final frost passes, transplant out my annuals.

After the growing season I'll cover crop with peas, clover, vetch, oats. Repeat next year.

Does this make sense? Am I missing anything?

Ugh I love that book but also completely accurate.

It's an absolute trip that that SICP was used as an introductory text to computer science. What a bunch of absolute legends.

Fun fact, there's about 350 homework problems in the book, so if you do one a day you'll finish the book in a year. Trust me, it's absolutely worth it! After that year it felt like I truly understood all this programming stuff (and this was after a 4 year degree and working as a software engineer for 4 years). The difference before and after was like turning on a light switch in my brain. I improved 5x in that year alone.

It's hard though, don't be ashamed to look up other answers if you get stuck. There's dozens of blogs where people explain every single answer in detail. I had to look up at least 25% of them. Still worth it, best learning investment ever for my career. I seriously think if I'd not done that I'd have left the industry long ago.

Also don't forget to check out the lectures on YouTube. Although to be honest I've not finished them, video lectures bore me too much. They are still really cool to watch.

I still think back to how it felt doing that book and finishing it. I wish I could go back and do it again for the first time. Just so immensely satisfying and empowering. I've tried to find other books like it, nothing quite does the trick. Sigh.

It's more of a yellow and smells vaguely like urine, but also very acerbic and foul. There's off-yellow crystals at the bottom of the chamber. I'm no expert, just I know I'd rather drink my own urine than drink what's left in that chamber after running a gallon through it. It's revolting and makes me gag to smell it.

I've got one of these, and it seems like it will out live me with minor repairs.

I might one day upgrade to a bigger one that has flushing built in, but for now this is plenty and has so few moving parts it's going to be easy to repair if it ever breaks.

Switched my desktop last weekend from Ubuntu to Bazzite on my Nvidia 1070. It's been a great week, everything runs so much faster and smoother!

I was able to bump my main game Predecesor from all Low to all Medium settings while still keeping 60fps.

Discord runs faster, Spotify feels snappier. All in all I'm really digging it.

That's all, just wanted to say I'm enjoying it and it's working well for me.

Dear friends,

I have assembled you here on this fine occasion with the hope in my heart that you will all take this opportunity to showcase your talents of the quill and the mind.

Let us cheer each other with prose both flowery and ornate. While the world around us may be filled with horrors and dread, let not our hearts yeild to despair, but rather let us lift each other with turns of phrase meant to delight and amuse.

I drew inspiration from the great comments on this post that brought me joy.
