For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.
No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.
Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.
Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

To be fair, he owns the company. He can do with it what he wants.
You should stop using his shitty platform and take his power away.
It's his platform, sure, but the handle was also someone else's.
I don't care what some sign up agreement says, this feels immoral.
It is immoral, nearly everything Muskow does is immoral and anyone who still uses xitter should be ashamed of themselves.
You don't become one of history's wealthiest humans by having any kind of moral compass.

I wish I had ever used Twitter so I could leave it. Kinda awkward when you want to boycott something, but you weren't consuming it in the first place. Same thing happened with Chick-Fil-A.
You think THAT'S bad? I wanted to boycott them too, but can't even flip off the building as I pass it, owing to the nearest one being on the other side of the Atlantic ocean!

I'm not sure you are correct. The @america handle is probably quite valuable. Did he steal it or buy it from the owner?
If it's his website he can do whatever he wants no matter the perceived value as long as it doesn't clash with existing laws. Even if it's illegal he can probably do it and figure something out.
