Embracer has truly advanced to the Extinguisher stage. :<

So many studios shutting down in their wake, so sad to seeing them becoming EA.

that's not at all what is happening. Embracer spent ridiculous amounts of investor money to purchase every company they could. Embracer couldn't raise more money this year and needs to pay wages, embracer literally can not afford to keep the lights on in these studios.

This is just a shit show.

Oh wow, what a catastrophic failure. The shitstorm those studios will need to endure.

They're repeating the thq cycle

Funnily enough, Embracer used to be an extension of THQ Nordic.

Yes that's why I mentioned that, haha.

Fuck. This really bites. Insurgency is one of my absolute favourite games. My wife and I play it together all the time.

Are you usually the insurgent?

[–] c0mbatbag3l 3 points 9 months ago

Mostly, but not. Always.

There goes one of my favorite co-op game :(

God fucking dammit

They say Insurgency development continues nevertheless.

We shall see. It's a fun game for a quick 20 minutes of action.

Custom servers with ultra-hardcore mods it's where I played religiously until sometime early this year.

The permanent bugs killed the community since they've gutted the OG devs. NWI is mostly a shell of its past self anyway.

I play casually on coop servers from time to time (at level 250 or something, although it's nice that levels are meaningless in that game). I mostly see it as a fun and not too serious shooter that's good for a quick game.

I don't always have the time for a Squad session.

That’s a shame. It’s my most played game on Steam. I played the 2014 game quite a bit, and even had a few hours in the OG mod.
