It's a solid movie about the tanuki fighting off human expansion into their habitat, by using their balls as weapons
Not just weapons but means of travel and air transportation. Glider balls ftw
You should check it out, it's definitely a silly lighthearted children's movie about folklore-inspired tanuki with big balls, and not about the ever increasing encroachment of civilization and the effects it has on the environment! 😌
The parade of ghosts is one of my favorite scenes in any Ghibli movie
Balls to the walls is also a good summary of this movie
Underrated Ghibli.
The ending is very melancholy (not that that's unusual with Ghibli).
