Jesus fucking Christ... I have a kid just about that age, and she's a kid. Something like that happens to her and some asshole Republican tells me she can't get an abortion because it's "God's will," I'm going ham.

Fuck's sake, why aren't we already going ham? This is absolutely atrocious madness.

Mostly…I just don’t know what going ham means. But if it means getting pitchforks and torches… right there with you

This is the intended result of anti-abortion legislation.

Republicans consider being able to know that you forced a child to carry your offspring to term to be a proper reward for rape, and have codified that into law.

This poor girl, what a horrible, traumatic, life-altering ordeal to go through. This is so deeply sad.

The fact that democrats running for office aren’t blasting this to use fear to drive votes is moronic.

The republicans are great at weaponizing fear, it would be so easy to make ads that say “GOP wants you to carry your rapists baby and then have them shot up going to school”

She and her child will make fine capital batteries for our glorious owner class.

Their desperation will increase their productivity output at menial labor. Which means growth, growth, growth!

This is great news for our beloved capitalist economy! May it profit even after all the peasants are dead!

"Regina hadn’t yet explained to her daughter how a baby is made, because she didn’t think Ashley was old enough to understand. “They need to be kids,” Regina says. She doesn’t think Ashley even realized that what happened to her could lead to a pregnancy."

That really got me, and this ignorant thinking sadly made things worse as it made the child unable to convey what happened. I have a 12 year old daughter and she's been learning about her body and the biology of humans/making babies since she was like 8. They sell books designed to ease them into the topics, and overall it has made it very easy for her to bring up any issues or questions she's having as she grows up. Mix an education system designed to keep people stupid about sex, and restrict family planning, and this all starts to seem deliberate. Like this is exactly what the government of these states want to happen.

Conservatives hate schools because educated children are harder for conservatives to impregnate.
