Mike Pence replied, “You better believe it,” when asked if he’s a “MAGA Republican”

Mike Pence understands that the monster he helped to build is no longer under his control. Almost every other Republican has come to the same conclusion.

The easy fix would be for them to work with the Democrats to create a moderate coalition to get things done, including deprogramming the MAGA cult.

Unfortunately, these Republican leaders have been drinking their own Kool-aid.

Literally for decades if you walked into the office of any ticket Republican representative or senator, they'd have Fox News playing.

It's getting increasingly difficult to determine on what issues they are sincere, and on what issues they are knowingly manipulating their constituents.

Like regarding COVID, Herman Cain literally killed himself because he believed the Republican bullshit about it being a "Democrat hoax".

Behind the scenes tapes indicate that Fox News anchors and Trump insiders knew full well that the Big Lie was a big lie.

So it's a blurry line trying to figure out who is genuinely stupid on each issue, and who is just happy to have their voters fooled by lies.

The one place where they all seem to fall into line is their belief that Democrats are evil. They have collectively chosen fascism. It would take so few of them to destroy the fascist wing of their party, but time and again they side with them instead of Democrats.

Pence is a hard core Evangelical so MAGA is his people. He is is upset just how incompetent and dumb his people are. True people of the land types.

Mike Pence replied, “You better believe it,”

They cut the other part where he said, "Because if you don't I'll get hanged by you people. Please I'll say anything don't hurt me."

At this rate he's going to end up hanging himself just to demonstrate his full MAGA credibility.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Despite a MAGA mob calling for his death on Jan. 6 and erecting a literal gallows to hang him, Mike Pence still refuses to separate himself fully from the MAGA movement.

“Under the Trump-Pence administration with the support of MAGA Americans, we literally did make America great again,” he added.

Last month, Pence said of Trump on that day, “While his words were reckless, I’m not yet convinced they were criminal.”

Despite Pence’s attempts not to distance himself from Trump and his supporters, likely in the hopes of earning their votes for his 2024 presidential bid, extremists are renewing the calls to hang him, Rolling Stone reported earlier this month.

“I want to watch his toes dangle in the breeze,” one user of online forum TheDonald wrote recently.

“I want to stand beside you as witness,” another user responded, adding, “I want to pull the lever.”

I'm a bot and I'm open source!

Maybe he should focus on cleaning up his superfund sites in his home state instead of letting the taxpayers bail him out.

Hang in there, Mike. Hang in there.

Dear Mike,

Blink twice with both sets of eyelids if you are being coerced to say this.

Mike Pence feels he will die if he is not one.

Am I supposed to have sympathy for a proudly cruel person, just because they're politely cruel?

[–] [email protected] -1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I don't want Mike Pence in power but this just...isn't a real critique. It's not hypocritical. You can still be a member of X group even if a member of X group tried to kill you.

Did you think he would become a Democrat? No, he's just a MAGA Republican who, like most of America, dislikes the people who tried to overturn a democratic vote.

[–] candybrie 7 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I feel like you're missing the MAGA part of MAGA republican. He can be a republican without subscribing to the specific brand of republicanism Trump created.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

As veep he aided and abetted in the creation of this brand of Republicanism. If anything, he'd have gone farther given the reins. I'm pretty sure one reason nobody shot at Trump was the threat of President Pence.
