Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

I don't know anything at all about the drama of how this place started, I just am happy that it did. I love how welcoming and friendly it is! Seriously, this type of community is what keeps people from leaving the at-times SUPER aggressive Lemmy. It's a breath of fresh air.

Differences in moderation style is basically why it got started.
TenForward is pretty great for having a lot of fans who are chill. Some tend to get a bit hotheaded when it comes to their dislike of certain series and people who like it but thats probably the worst you're gonna see on here. Pretty awesome, all things considered.

It's not the "spot" - well it's that as well - but mainly it's the PEOPLE here who make it worthwhile to continue visiting and actively look forward to continuing to do so in the future. It's a literal community in the best sense of the word.:-)

It's crazy to think about, really. Thanks for giving us the soace here! I think the Trek community was absolutely the most successful move from Reddit. I've now made enough stuff to post here that I genuinely am out of ideas lol. As an aside, the PeerTube instance I've uploaded quite a few edits to is back, and they should be available again.
It's a beautiful place full of beautiful people.
Thank you mods for building this space and thanks to everyone for being here ..... it's my favorite place on the internet.
