Summary

Ryan Michael “Reily” English was arrested at the U.S. Capitol with Molotov cocktails and a knife, allegedly planning to kill newly confirmed Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

Initially targeting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth or House Speaker Mike Johnson, English changed plans after learning about Bessent’s Senate vote.

He told police he was prepared to kill officers to reach his target and contemplated suicide by cop.

English also considered attacking the Heritage Foundation.

He faces multiple federal charges, including possession of explosives on Capitol grounds.

Why make all these plans and then just walk up to a cop and turn yourself in?

Seriously... If you didn't actually do anything then just realize it was a bad idea and go home...

Instead he made Republicans jobs even easier by giving fox news a wonderful "violent left" story... Great job Ryan.

It's almost too perfect isn't it?
No one got hurt and they got a juicy story about the "violent left" with no investigation needed. It makes me question if the motive was to actually harm one of Trump's cabinet picks, or if the goal was to hand wrap and deliver talking points to conservative media.

Is it only ok when the right says something is a false flag?

Because this does feel like a false flag

Alternatively though, he's got national news reporting the note he wrote...

Two 50ml vodka bottles?

Sounds more like the guy wanted a roof over his head and decided prison would have a roof and meals. Probably got fired or something

They were legitimately just filled with vodka too. They found a bottle of 100 proof vodka in his car so charitably it could at least be half water instead of more than half water. 50 ml of mostly water wrapped in cloth soaked with hand sanitizer... That is pretty generous to call that a Molotov cocktail. Gonna be more of a cutting hazard on glass than anything.
