Posts which titles don’t match the source won’t be removed, but the autoMod will notify you, and if your title misrepresents the original article, the post will be deleted. If the site changed their headline, the bot might still contact you, just ignore it, we won’t delete your post.
5. Only recent news is allowed.
Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.
6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials or celebrity gossip is allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis.
7. No duplicate posts.
If a source you used was already posted by someone else, the autoMod will leave a message. Please remove your post if the autoMod is correct. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.
The specific section says "Medical interventions for the gender dysphoria may not be provided."
So they acknowledge it's a real condition that needs medicine then?
They really have nothing better to do, do they. They only care about causing as much suffering as possible.
Yea. Once our right to exist itself is entirely obliterated, they'll shift all their focus on to the next group of people to destroy.
This is just the start of a genocide of all queer people. They know they can use the religious hatred of queer people as a weapon and they won't just stop with the ones who are trans.
“Must pass” is part of the language that ostensibly liberal media outlets like HuffPost use to cover for Democrats rolling over yet again.
Literally nothing “must pass” we’ve had how many government shutdowns from Republican shitfits over stupid culture wars and cynical “fiscal responsibilities” whilst rubber stamping national defense budget blowouts?
Democrats can add poison pill amendments too, or at least burn down the clock with the filibuster they cling too so desperately each time they achieve a majority. But they don’t, because deep down most of them are okay with this.

Do puberty blockers result in sterilization? Top surgery certainly doesn't. Gender affirming bottom surgery is often postponed until 18 in any case. And there are also nonsurgical options for preventing menstruation in the meantime, even if the person can't take puberty blockers.
None of which makes this provision anything other than cruel bigotry. In fact, don't tell them, or they'll take out that phrase to make the ban more sweeping. But I feel like, while they were adding the last-minute provision, someone sneaked in the sterilization bit like a little fairy godmother making the curse a little less dire.
I think the problem is that it says "could." ~~"may."~~ Many thing could ~~may~~ lead to sterilization that aren't intended to or common. It's weasal language. It looks not particularly bad, but it can be used to extend far further than the obvious.

BTW, going to a trans positive therapist to talk about gender and asking a school to used personal pronouns can both be considered gender affirming care (I’m a foster parent, so have seen this stupidness firsthand). So yeah, I count my blessings every time they try to ban the fictional stuff
