This guy for president. If he wins, he'll avoid any persecution!

[–] Katana314 25 points 1 week ago

He probably should run for president, since apparently it’s “not fair to sentence him before the election is decided”.

[–] [email protected] 25 points 1 week ago

I'd vote for him and I don't even live in the US

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 week ago

Lol doesn't need that. He gets legal immunity from jury nullification.

[–] pikmeir 5 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

He should at least announce his candidacy that way nobody will hold him accountable.

[–] Gigasser 72 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Supposedly people on bluesky are calling him "The Adjuster" now.

[–] P00ptart 23 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That's honestly a great superhero name for him. Like "the punisher" or "the equalizer". I hope dude gets caught, and then acquitted, then gets to star in "the adjuster" series.

I get bothered that “killers” in comics always go WAAYY too far, and slaughter by the dozens.

I would definitely like a vigilante superhero that stops a purse mugging, talks to the guy about his strife, and sets him up with a respectable parole officer - then later that night, shoots a corrupt judge dead.

Have you heard of the (original) Watch Dogs

[–] NegativeInf 57 points 1 week ago

Everyone liked that.

The thing about this dead ceo is that unlike trump, the ceo doesn't even have a cultish base of supporters. There's no revenge shootings we gotta worry about.

This was basically as bi-partisan as you can get in the polarized politics of the US. Nothing that Biden, trump, or Bernie Sanders could get. No politician can even come close to the support the perpetrator has.

Edit: I went to the conservative subreddit to check out what those maga freaks were saying, like at least half of them just went "okay" with what happened. Like, damn, what unity we have, if only we had such a candidate in politics with as much support as the perpetrator.

[–] faltryka 17 points 1 week ago

Clearly the answer to our national disunity is for the perpetrator to run for office.

Imagine a candidate running against the wealthy. Like, just actively shitting on them daily. They'd get my vote.

Instead, we have Trump... A manchild whose never had to work a day in his life, and had everything handed to him. And Musk (similar story) helped him win. Both are rich bastards that exploit the lower class just like this CEO did.

Deny. Defend. Depose.

[–] Alexstarfire 28 points 1 week ago

Didn't even have to grab them by the pussy either.

[–] Gigasser 28 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Not too sure if this is his actual fit, since I think he layered on top some Barbour jacket or trucker jacket or something, but it's fun.

The backpack seems to be the only accurate thing.

They really weren’t even trying with the sneakers.

[–] Sgt_choke_n_stroke 26 points 1 week ago (2 children)

The more I see the video and the professionalism, the more I'm convinced it is a professional hit man that lost a loved one to this company and used his skills to do the job personally.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Could also be something simpler, like him having military experience.

[–] P00ptart 15 points 1 week ago

In my military experience, some people just understand the job. Same with manufacturing. You can be as smart as Einstein, and not understand the job. But some people just get the ins and outs on a different level. This guy is close to that level, but not on that level. He should never have been to that coffeeshop unmasked. Or at least changed clothes in an alley. It clearly took planning, and some experience with a gun but assuming military training is a bit far. To me it looks like he understood the job, with no training. If he had training, he wouldn't have gone to Starbucks and wouldn't have used a rented e-bike (unless he used a prepaid card to rent it).

¯_(ツ)_/¯

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

Or somebody hired him...

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 week ago

I didn't see nothin'

[–] peopleproblems 21 points 1 week ago

How do these memes get fucking better everyday

[–] Illegalmexicant 18 points 1 week ago

Finally a candidate that shares my beliefs

[–] sumguyonline 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

What should be pissing everyone off even moar... Is the fact people are shot dead in the street daily. The police might question a few suspects, then stall out the investigation as homicides go unsolved as a regular part of our system. But when a poor decides to gun down a rich, well that means there's money involved and the police will dawn gawd damned snorkels to hunt down the bastard responsible for gunning down their rich boot wearing master. Relevant

[–] Clinicallydepressedpoochie 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

In this scenario though there is a media frenzy so it plays into everything heavily. You got money coming in from the outside so police feel the need to defend themselves on the world stage. No doubt, though, that horrible shit happens every day that gets overlooked. Thinking of Bianna Taylor getting shot by the police while sleeping in her own home. Just recently cops in Missouri shot a baby and her mother on a domestic disturbance call.

Police either get lucky and solve a crime in the first 48 hours (if they are even trying) or they move on. Otherwise they are out on the streets bullying people trying to give the illusion of order.

Truthfully though. We give them too much responsibility. Every emergency dial 911? Like from heart attacks to killing sprees and your going to send the local high-school rejects in?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

He did it for the likes.
