Enough Musk Spam

For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

I had setup a bluesky account back when they opened it up however long ago, didn’t touch it much, then just randomly decided to start using it a little bit before the election because Lemmy felt like it was running dry. It definitely seems to be popping now, though I don’t understand much why people waited so long to leave X. X seems like it’s been a shithole for awhile, did people not see the writing on the wall this whole time, or did the right-wing BS reach a critical mass after the election?

Elon got what he wanted from Xhitter so I doubt he cares. But of course it's good to leave a toxic environment behind.

Because he's still a big manchild who needs to feel constantly loved.

All the promotion and sponsoring of Nazis and racism and pedophilia didn't already drive them off of there?

That's excellent! For those in the EU have you seen the petition to get X banned in the EU? https://ban-x-in.eu/ X is violating EU law so it must be banned. EU residences: please contact people in your government and demand X be banned.

Problem is... You still think that Musk and his "buddy" play by the rules. Ticktock will be sooner or later blocked because is a china "spyware", after that, who knows what kind of "terrorist movement" the government will find on Bluesky, or the Fediverse.

Sir, this is a post about a boycott. Also, tiktok is chinese spyware. All mainstream social media should be assumed to be spying on its users and doing dark pattern shit.

Sir dude, I'm here and I use bluesky and I love both of them, an that's exactly why i've posted my first comment. Considering the Epic ammount of bullshit i've seen piling up during the election is not really too much of a stretch thinking how Musk will use his "pal" to undermine other socials. For what is worth, i hope I'm wrong.
