It looks like The Book of Boba Fett may have been the last time we see Boba Fett in the Star Wars franchise, as star Temuera Morrison reveals that the spin-off show’s bad reception is the reason why he won't be in the upcoming movie The Mandalorian & Grogu.

"This show's reception does seem to have impacted the future of the character in the franchise," said Boba Fett actor Temuera Morrison at Fan Expo Chicago after confirming his character won't appear in the Mandalorian movie, as reported by Screen Rant. Morrison later added that he also hasn't received an update on The Book of Boba Fett regarding a possible season 2, suggesting season 1 could well have been the last time we saw his character.

They are rushing to overly-dramatic conclusions, but it does seem that The Book of Boba Fett has had a negative impact on the future viability of a fan-favourite character.

Lucasfilm might want to ponder that before banging out another weak series.

It's a baffling trend. Among myriad other issues, Disney paces their shows like the season has 20 episodes, and then just end everything half way through. It's immensely dissatisfying.

I feel bad for Temuera because he does seem like a good guy and wholly interested in the character/clones. And I don't even blame him - he was acting with the script given.

But the writers and show-runners had to know what they were putting together wasn't that great, right? Like, they saw the slow-speed chase, right, because, you know, they created it?

One of the many problems with BoBF was it basically became Mandalorian Season 2.5, and undid all the story development on the first 2 seasons. I didn't like Mando S3 because Grogu was just there...like the script included a break in dialogue that simple said [adorable Grogu reaction]

Disney hates taking chances. They found out baby Yoda was popular and have decided to milk it until everyone is sick to death of it. I doubt grogu was originally slated for season 2 of mandalorian. Obi wan retooled to add “baby leia” because of the same lack of creativity.

See also Disney’s endless direct to video sequels of every last one of the properties they own.

No, no it wasnt. Absolute cut throat bad ass of a character wants to become a depliomat. They absolutely destroyed the character before the vespa spin twist 360 no scope scene.
