FFVI is probably my favorite game.

There is NO reason to try and add on to it. Its story is complete.

I don't need to see the "After Years" of what has happened in that world.

Yeah, we’ll be able to build usable chip factories here in the states in no time. That surely doesn’t take several years to get set up.

I worry for a cousin of mine.

He's Vietnamese and was adopted by my aunt and uncle about 15 years ago or so. By all accounts he's now a U.S. citizen. He's in college. Doing great.

But he IS brown. I'm pretty sure my uncle voted for trump for some dumbass reason. I worry my cousin could be caught up in some raid at some point.

Realtalk: The $7 "decades" menu item or the $7 Luxe Cravings Box is one of the best deals in fast food right now.

These usually have a taco, a "fancier" taco (like a double decker), and a burrito, AND chips and queso AND a drink. If you want a large drink it's $.20 more. So for about $8 you can get a lot of food.

Compared to McDonald's that somehow charges like $11+ for a Double Quarter Pounder meal now, it's a great deal.

I may be lucky in that the Taco Bell near me has line cooks that actually know what they are doing. I know that's not a luxury everyone has. But I'll never turn down some Taco Bell.

Wild there was only one game today.

I’m glad the Thunder won.

Yeah, I paid for PCalc because someone put in effort to make it, and it’s good. Don’t feel bad about that.

But I wouldn’t subscribe to one.

Perhaps some work on a sidebar for navigation for tablets or desktop?

I know Apollo never had that, but when I’m on my iPad I tend to use Arctic simply because it uses the real estate better. But I use Voyager on my phone.

Step 1: put AOC and Bernie in charge

Step 2: Let em go ham

At least do…something.

If parents weren’t confused by

Xbox Xbox 360 Xbox One Xbox Series S/X

Then the number 2 should be just fine.

The people there seem pretty chill in my experience so far.

Hopefully this money will allow that ONE DUDE to get some help in managing these apps. I know he has maybe a couple of collaborators now, but maybe they can get some more dedicated people to build out the apps. It's a lot for one or two people to try and spin up two apps at once.

The Pixelfed app that dropped last week, for example, doesn't even have a button to view the global feed. It's better to just use the main website of whatever server you are on right now, even on your mobile device.

This is a pretty great, long form post about the structure of Bluesky, and how it's largely kinda pretending to be decentralized at the moment. I'm not trying to make a dig at it. I've enjoyed the platform myself for a while, but it's good to learn more about how it actually works.

Your FFXIV Conspiracy Theories (self.finalfantasyxiv)

This is largely a silly post, but I'm curious if anyone has any fun conspiracy theories. Like why does Tataru need that knife on her belt? Is it because she's got some NEFARIOUS dealings going on to get all that money?

More so, I just wanted to see if anyone else believes that the Random Mount button isn't fully "random." I swear I see the same handful of mounts summoned more than others. If I see the Manacutter or Yol summoned ONE MORE TIME, I swear...

It’s now been about a month (somehow) since Dawntrail launched, so I assume most of us have finished the MSQ, and I’m curious about your thoughts!

For me, I actually really enjoyed not being the center of attention the whole time. It was a nice palette cleanser from the last ten years. It was fun to tag along see this whole new continent. Of course, things do end up getting more serious than that, and I was impressed they were able to get me to care about all these new people so quickly.

The new dungeons and group content all felt good. I liked that none of it seemed to be pushovers, and myself and my friends died several times figuring out the various boss battles — which is a good thing!

I just finished the story last night so I’m now at the point where there are some new quests which I assume will open up some new content. So I have no opinion there yet.

But what about you all?

I’m about halfway through the story at this point, but I’ve really been enjoying these new starting zones.

Something that I never really did with the previous expansions is try and do a lot of side quests as I go. It’s been fun to learn more about these new characters and their cultures.

Inject it into my veins.

NOOOO MY DARLING BOY

Four years removed from being a first-round draft pick, Aleksej Pokuševski's tenure with the Oklahoma City Thunder has come to an end.

The Thunder announced on Friday they have waived the 22-year-old forward.

Pokuševski was originally selected with the 17th overall pick in the 2020 draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, who traded his rights to Oklahoma City in a three-team deal that also involved the New York Knicks. He was the youngest player in that draft class The trade has turned out to be very notable for all three teams involved. Minnesota acquired the draft rights to Jaden McDaniels, while the Knicks got the rights to Immanuel Quickley.

I just started using this app today after wading through bug after bug with Voyager. Like many, Apollo was my go-to app for years and years, so it’s natural to gravitate to the one that looks exactly like it.

However, I consume this type of content mostly on my iPad, and often I’m using Stage Manager with an external KB and trackpad. Voyager in this mode barely works, so I’m just making a post here to say thanks for making this app feel great in this mode. 😎

This came up in my YouTube recommendations, and it’s pretty fun to watch as a Thunder fan.

I really try to not complain about the refs, but that was one of the worst calls of all time.
