And the old CEO will float off to continue their life of luxury buoyed by a severance package that could keep whole communities afloat for decades.

CEO is the only job that AI is ready to perform today.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago (2 children)

How so?

How can AI replace the chief executive officer of any company?

If you have any articles or sources about this, I would love to read about it.

Lemmy only knows about high profile CEOs like Musk, and only hears about the fuckups and egregious greed cases. Company culture and leadership starts and the top and rolls downhill. A CEO can make or break a company.

Is this guy an engineer? My guess is not and that the shenanigans will continue. Boeing's record of old? (before their reputation took a huge nosedive) Engineering at the CEO position all the way. Coincidence? I think not.

He started as a Mechanical Engineer but moved up quickly into management track. But background is for sure engineering.

[–] Tylerdurdon 3 points 2 months ago

I guess we'll see if he takes moves to right the ship or if the sellout continues.

but moved up quickly into management track

Does not sound at all like an engineer, more like "not an engineer".

That's promising at least. A CEO of a company (that builds planes) having a finance background seems nonsensical, but what do I know.
