Also, fat people are more buoyant than muscular ones, which helps when they need to keep another person afloat
Don't matter if you're skinny or fat, conditioning is what's going to matter when you're trying to cross-chest carry some beefcake who thought he could handle himself in big surf.
So, if depth of water is a metaphor for life then of course tall guy is like don’t be silly, but shorty might choke in high tide
