Remember Slayer's Show No Mercy?? That's essentially the vibes this band brings to the table; released only one full length album and it's just rearranged Show No Mercy lol.

US Heavy/Power Metal gods opened their peak album with a speed metal song and it fuckin melts your face off. This whole album kicks ass, minus the misogynistic track number 7.

Ooooh this rips lol gonna check out more for sure!

btw your metal archives link goes right to your youtube link xD

Legendary Progressive Thrash band helmed by Marc Biedermann, with even more legendary bassist Les Claypool. This is my pick from this amazing album of creativity, frenetic time signatures between blistering speed and knowing when to slow down but still sounds catchy and good!

Completely random chance! I happened upon it in my playlist that day and thought it would have already been uploaded before, but to my surprise - nope! Always happy to share my picks too, Thrash is definitely so much more than the big 4 and the prog/tech thrash surge in 89. Love to promote other forms of more extreme music that have been touched by thrash!

And here I thought I tapped into someone's favorite picks lmao but that's still good! Let's keep it up!

Behold an instrumental from a band whose voices I do NOT like at all! Enjoy this 8 minute pseudo-epic.

All I wanted was a Pepsi™...

Technical Death/Thrash with hints of melodic death, these dudes from Boston seem to know how to write a decent song with catchy riffs! Voice might not be for everyone, as it has a slight tinge of the -core side, but it mostly stays guttural barks.

Normally I'm not too into crossover, but this has elements of Demolition Hammer and it injects a certain something that gets me going.

Destruction has always been so underrated. Good stuff!

Was just perusing this band's catalogue the other day and happened to click on this track, was instantly brought back to the first time I heard it. Back then, I remember that I was instantly gripped by the main riff, the powerful guitars and the thick bass just grooving along. Easily one of my favorites to headbang along to, especially during the mid section with the solos and the sped up reprise of the main riff, full steam ahead.

This ain't classic Exodus at all, but I happened to listen to this album before the rest back in the day. Imagine listening to St. Anger before Ride the Lightning lmao, except, imagine liking St. Anger of all things.

Solid modern thrash track, if you don't mind the groovy bits from Testament's usual outputs.

Loving the super downtuned guitars, making the riffs sound unique. Also love the simpler drumming, no added extra stuff - the focus is on the guitars and the pissed off vocals lol

Infectious riffs

Have to post this epic melodic, plodding, yet bluesy piece. RIP Cliff Burton.

Edit: realized that "Cliffy B." refers to another individual called Cliff Bleszinski, so I just fixed the name out of respect.

If we ever get to chatting on discord again sometime soon, I've got a whole list recommended for you buddy lol

Swedish heavy/speed retro revivalists (with hints of thrash, e.g. Metallica's Kill 'Em All) trying something new among their 80's worship and I'd like to share. Starts off slow, building up their lyrical horror show, moving to a more upbeat riff which has me headbanging every time.

Been a hot minute since we've seen a Sodom track, so I'm posting my pick from these Germans. Love the crunching of the riffs and bass.

Finally was able to sit down and watch it, it's a great Fan made project, even better than a lot of professionally produced stuff! Loved the whole story and everything, especially loved the bit where Lemmy was singing Heroes, all the clips and shit from the Big Four all together, super positive stuff. Great find man.

Damn dude, I got that notification too, I'm glad you beat me to posting it lmao.

Song is an absolute banger and the lyrics are very pertinent.

Slower, catchy, with a great mid section and a fantastic solo, this sounds sorta personal in a vulnerable kind of way, if that makes sense lol. Not everyone jives with modern 'Thrax but they've been doing some good things.
