The additional training is to make sure nobody sees you doing it

So they're drying the mop? That's not even a thing that needs to be done

[–] [email protected] 10 points 6 months ago (1 children)

What if you need to slurp up a spill

[–] [email protected] 7 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (1 children)

Use the mop sink in the back or the squeezy thingamabob on the mop bucket to wring it out the way it's intended to be. Or just grab another mop; there are dozens of them back there or in the front closet.

Prime example of the everyone has a job fallacy, i am not sure what you can trust such people to do that wouldn't endanger others...

[–] [email protected] 32 points 6 months ago (3 children)

Yep, I've been saying this forever. If you force the incompetent to work too, you're just making things harder for the rest of us. Just pay them to sit at home and smoke weed.

[–] Raab 4 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I dislike the association of smoking weed with incompetence. I've smoked every day for the past 15 years and have been just as much as a productive member of society as the next guy and excel at my job. That stigma hurts.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 6 months ago

I'm not saying the weed smoking causes incompetence, I'm saying we shouldn't be forcing people into the job market that don't want to / shouldn't be there, and they should be free to do what they want in that unproductive time, whether that's watching TV, writing, painting, shit posting, raising kids or smoking weed (or any combination of those things). I used this example exactly because of the stigma conservatives put on the 'dole bludger' or whatever they call them.

whelp i'm getting in line early for the incompetent job, because there surely is gonna be some fierce competition for this one.

[–] [email protected] -3 points 6 months ago

Yeah, that’s not an awesome idea. They’d be better off picking tomatoes or something.

If you pay me enough to sit at home and browse e621, the things I will be able to tell you....

Of course universal income is a must, you can't have people who can't feed/house themselves. Recepie for disaster.

I have some bad news for you all of you think this kind of stuff is limited to corporate fast food.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

I cook most of my food myself. Once every couple weeks I might go to a restaurant. Fortunately, I know where my mops have been when I hold em over my food.

[–] Breezy 2 points 6 months ago

Stupid shit happens at all places. I work overnight stocking at a grocery store, boy do i not want to buy any fridge food from there, they just leave shit out for hours and then act like im crazy when i bring up the temperature of everything.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (2 children)

I always think about whether they spit or not into the stuff but then oh fuck it I am hungry I won’t feel it anyway and I am bisexual. I have ate much worse things

But that kinda makes me wonder about how society is built on trust and how fragile that situation is. One person like me adding shit to your food for giggles and everything collapses. A sunny day turns into a horror

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago (1 children)

So the reality is if you’re not a complete cockweed, food workers mostly don’t give enough of a shit to spit in your food.

The bisexual comment made me chuckle, cause same

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

When I worked in restaurants, I'd curse every 5 seconds if you pissed me off(I was in BoH), but I'd make your food right.

Tongue in cheek quoting Hannibal lecter: "I'd never do that to the food"

[–] nifty 0 points 6 months ago

and I am bisexual. I have ate much worse things

I am not sure being bi has anything to do with this tho

[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 months ago

And I think my occasional gross habits will get me fired sometimes.... and we got motherfuckers doing this shit
