Welcome to /c/tumblr, a place for all your tumblr screenshots and news.

Our Rules:

  1. Keep it civil. We're all people here. Be respectful to one another.

  2. No sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia or any other flavor of bigotry. I should not need to explain this one.

  3. Must be tumblr related. This one is kind of a given.

  4. Try not to repost anything posted within the past month. Beyond that, go for it. Not everyone is on every site all the time.

  5. No unnecessary negativity. Just because you don't like a thing doesn't mean that you need to spend the entire comment section complaining about said thing. Just downvote and move on.

Yeah, that works real well, until you wear your potassium metal shirt.

[–] Viking_Hippie 29 points 6 months ago (2 children)

Potassium Metal is my favorite music genre.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 6 months ago

I'm more a fan of potassium pop, or as some call it "K-pop".

[–] [email protected] 7 points 6 months ago (2 children)

Do they sing about bananas?

I think that is called Foodcore.

[–] Viking_Hippie 2 points 6 months ago

Nah, Potassium Metal is heavy metal performed by people who always make sure to get their daily vitamins and minerals and also hydrate enough without ovethydrating.

They mostly sing about tragic romance.

mm nak infused synthetic fabric my beloved, it's actually marketable as "anti sweat" because it will fucking explode if you sweat.

[–] frickineh 38 points 6 months ago (1 children)

That's a solid 50% of the reason I pretty much only drink water. I'm almost 40 and still miss my mouth and pour stuff right down my shirt like I'm new here.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Is that a problem you got as you grew older or were you clumsy from the start ?

[–] frickineh 9 points 6 months ago (2 children)

Lifelong lack of grace. I walk into walls and trip over nothing and knock things over. Sometimes it's like watching the 3 Stooges.

[–] Agrivar 2 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I feel your pain! I'm 50 and I still routinely miss my own mouth when drinking - it's one of the reasons I stick with black coffee.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago

i swear i have a hole in my lip that goes away after i notice it

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago

I diagnose you with soul of basset hound.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 6 months ago (5 children)

Plus, no one can stop you from ordering a steak and a water.

I'm afraid the baby thinks people can't change.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Did you used to be a piece of shit?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 6 months ago

USED to be!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Ordering anything other than water at a restaurant is just entirely too expensive.

[–] FlyingSquid 3 points 6 months ago (2 children)

If I can't have a girl drink, what's the point of even going to a restaurant?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago

Wow. I hadn't even thought about Kids In The Hall in a long time!

https://youtu.be/8t4pmlHRokg

[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 months ago

i hate that you know what kids in the hall is. Such a culture shock i love that show.

I'll try and catch you out somewhere along the line here, if you know all of these i'm actually fucking over.

  • WKUK (whitest kids you know)
  • tim and eric (all of them, everybody knows them)
  • mr show with bob and david

some of my absolutely favorites, including kids in the hall. Chances are if you picked up a KITH compilation on youtube, that it may have been mine.

Y'all like water? Now get ready for water 2, thick edition. 🥵😫

[–] flicker 11 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I was caring for someone on a thickened liquids restriction and it is... awful. So many great things are made not great by thickening.

[–] mojo_raisin 3 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Oh this real? I assumed it was AI. Excuse me while I vomit profusely.

[–] flicker 6 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (1 children)

People who have survived things like a stroke might have trouble swallowing liquids without choking, so you have to thicken them.

ETA; I think memory care patients go that way towards the end, too, like Alzheimer's.

[–] mojo_raisin 2 points 6 months ago

Interesting, thanks, I was wondering.

[–] Resol 4 points 6 months ago (2 children)

Isn't that just heavy water (D2O) chemically? Wouldn't that kill you if you consume too much of it?

Am I deserving of downvotes?

[–] [email protected] 13 points 6 months ago (1 children)

No, its a gel-thing for people who have problems swallowing

[–] Resol 3 points 6 months ago
[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 months ago (1 children)

It basically just increases the viscosity.

[–] Resol 2 points 6 months ago (1 children)

How would that affect the human body?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 months ago (1 children)

I suppose it would make hydration easier for stroke victims, like another comment said.

It also might make bathroom time a lot more scary.

[–] Resol 2 points 6 months ago

I get it now.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 6 months ago

just wait until you find out about heavy water.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago (3 children)

I'd rather die from dehydration than buy bottled water.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Then you are lucky you can drink the tap water where you are.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (1 children)

Hopefully they filter it themselves or have well water clean enough to drink. But that does seem like a tap water type of response, lol.

I think the message they're trying to convey is that plastic is bad for the environment and bottled water is one of the biggest contributers.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago

and also fuck nestle

[–] [email protected] 3 points 6 months ago

Well, lucky you, because you can buy the powder and add it to any water.

Also, yes, fuck bottled water.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago

luckily for you, nestle believes that exact same thing!

[–] [email protected] 16 points 6 months ago (1 children)

On the other end of the spectrum is soap. You spill a bottle of soap. What are you going to clean it with? More soap? Congratulations. You've just made the problem worse.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Man, I know you're never gonna believe it, but

you clean it with water

[–] DogWater 1 points 6 months ago

Yeah but the implied premise is being caught out by a spill randomly where you just have to deal...

[–] [email protected] 8 points 6 months ago

I guess next time I'm bothered by my shirt being wet, I should be grapeful it wasn't grate juice.

the day that tumblr stops being the way that tumblr is, is the day that the internet is officially dead.

[–] AnUnusualRelic 2 points 6 months ago

Quaffing... with water.
