Legitimately, I came to the comment section to ask if it's been scanned for a 3d model because I want one, and have a printer or two just waiting to be given something to do.

I meet weekly with 5 other guys to sit around a table, speak thoughts into actions, and roll dice to determine the future, so... Yeah.
Everything in Mayan culture was completely infused with their religious beliefs. Everything was for ritualistic purposes.

Nah they're an animal, Mayans were written about contemporarily which notes their love of dressing up like animals. There's even a story about the final battle of the Maya where they released a dude dressed up like a crazy fuckin bird.
I remember taking my first archaeology class in college and seeing pictures of statuettes with big breasts and butts and learning that they represented a "cult of fertility". Only much later did I realize it was just 20,000 year old porn.
One interesting theory we talked about in mine, at least for Venus statues, is perspective. Stand up, tuck your chin down, and look. If this is the view you using to make a statue, this is how it would look like. Especially if you have breasts and a belly in the way.
