Aimenn Penny told the FBI that he would have felt better if his Molotov cocktails had burned an LGBT-friendly church to the ground.

When he gets out he’ll be 38, young enough to try again.

Angrier and probably better organized, too.

Unless the NOI gangs “correct” him.

He will go to prison and join the real nazi groups. Dudes going to come out completely fucked beyond repair.

Either way, yes. That’s why we don’t have rehab instead of retributive isolation. It takes a strong body to survive physically, a strong mind to survive psychologically. By the time someone finds themselves in that position, society has robbed them of both, only rarely do prisoners —in or outside— go within and escape the trap. If we ever want a better society, we need to address ourselves, honestly, to address society, clearly.

Well to be honest, pretty much everyone going through jail ends up worse when they get out, either more violent and willing to do more crimes, or unable to integrate society after. It's fucking useless.

You're so close... It has a use, though it's completely vile: the US prison system is simply rebranded slavery. Fact.

I think it's the glass of port I'm drinking, but I somehow misread that as "young enough to be a virgin," which is probably also true in his case.

My first thought was good, he deserves it.

My second thought was what is a church drag event?

[–] [email protected] 29 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

It's where 10 extremely burley men take turns trying to pull a church as far as they can. It's the official state sport of Tennessee and it's usually fun for the whole family. The winner doesn't get much for a winning prize, but does have the option to become a principal at the highschool of his choosing.

The women's events usually involve pulling small barns.

A bunch of christians getting together to express non-conforming gender and promote inclusivity and tolerance in their families and communities, I think? Sounds rad.

White Lives Matter dude knows that sometimes white people do drag, right?

But perhaps I’m putting too much faith in this guy’s application of logic.

It's the whole "drag queens are groomers" thing.

Appearing in court for the sentencing, Penny did not apologize and justified his actions as protecting children, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

They genuinely believe that gays, trans, drag queens, etc are grooming children for sexual reasons. It's insane logic.

There's a weird sort of "broken clock" effect here: he targeted a group of people with a propensity for child-rape but it wasn't the LGBT crowd.

Sounds Like your average X (formerly named™️) Discussion

[–] Okigotitnow 7 points 10 months ago

Good. I hope he'll change his mind about LGBT in prison.
