I’d recommend you contact any companies you’ve made a purchase from that uses Shopify as their backend. Tell them seeing the shop logo at checkout makes you feel uncomfortable going forward with a purchase knowing that Shopify also sells Nazi goods.

I think I heard that Trump did it because he thinks it gets him around some Biden era rule that he can’t reverse that bans oil drilling in parts of the “Gulf of Mexico.” It’s really stupid. Exxon and Chevron have both “acknowledged” the name change.

Can’t get past paywall, sorry

I think that comment works better the other way around.

Obama signed an executive order to close it, but Congress and the legal system slowed it down.

No, he’s still breaking the law. I get what you’re saying, but he’s still breaking the law.

I don’t disagree, but it is important to acknowledge that it is illegal. Some people think the president can just do this, but he cannot without violating the law and the constitution.

Well, it was created through an act of Congress. It is the law. An executive order cannot shut it down.

As if we needed further proof

I don’t want to say there is a silver bullet or that mental health issues like depression aren’t real because they are, but also don’t overlook possible bad habits and the impact they could be having on your wellbeing.

I would generally identify with a lot of the things in the picture. That said, I participated in dry January this year and it’s insane how much better I feel. I’m not a heavy drinker, but man even those 2-3 drinks on 1-2 nights a week really were affecting my energy levels and mood. I hope I can keep this streak going because my head is clear. I feel good! Is there a thing in your life making you feel like shit? Too much sugar? Weed? Alcohol?

I walked my dog this morning (self.dull_mens_club)

This morning it was my turn to walk the dog. I took her to a nearby park with two hiking loops, which are about a mile total. Lots of folks bring their dogs here and although there are signs to keep your dog on leash, almost no one follows them. So, I let mine off whenever I go there. She enjoys being under the trees and sniffing. But, there are many squirrels and if she catches one moving, she’ll often take off running after it. Depending on how driven she is by the squirrels I might have to put her on leash so that she calms down and walks next to me. Today, there were a few other folks with their dogs, but none that my dog found appealing. Occasionally, when she meets a dog she likes, she’ll befriend them by doing zoomies in the field and getting the other dog to chase her. We finished our walk and went home.

Do they exist?

A Fediverse Alternative to TikTok

In the last few months i really gotten into the whole Fediverse thing, but i noticed that, despite it being the most popular Social Media Platform, there isn't a TikTok alternative. I know there is Loops, but it's not open source or federated yet, so it's not really an option. Why is that?
