In a Dec. 10 order, made public by the Article III Project on Tuesday, Diaz concluded that by publicly criticizing a Supreme Court justice's ethics Ponsor's essay diminished the public's confidence in the judiciary's integrity.

Yeah! The Supreme Court can diminish the public's confidence in the judiciary's integrity perfectly fine on their own! We don't need you point their literal lack of ethics!

Demonization of corporate executives is not new

JFC, these executives are already ghouls, why do they need to demonize more?

*average national (I should have said that part) yearly income. Formula below

Financial crime / avg. Nat. Income = years in jail

I. E 100k/40k=2.5 years

1mill/40k=25 years

Hopefully that clears up the math behind my dumbass high in the shower thought

[–] Lupo 4 points 1 week ago (6 children)

To clarify, I meant national average. As in, an average American makes 40k a year, white collar crime 1 mil, get 25 years since that's how long it would take an average American to get 1 mil.

I.e. 100k embezzlement gets you 2.5 years

Edit.

I meant this to be the national average income (40k if I round up for cleaner math), not based on the individuals income, it's a static formula.

Crime$$$/nat. Avg. Income = years in jail

100k/40k = 2.5 years

1mill /40k=25 years

My thoughts were, if they want to commit more crime but lessen the risk, they just need to increase the average national income. Hell, I'd throw them a bone adjust their sentences for income inflation.

Ie

Homie gets two years (80k/40k=2), but the next year average national income jumps to 80k (because it turns out actually properly threatening these fuckers actually works, who'd've figured?), that homies sentence gets cut to a year he gets out on time served. Call it an incentive.

Anyways, more than anything, I'm sorry my high in the shower thought got as much attention as it did.

Good night

The headline being true in any instance is a ridiculous thing to allow happen without any real safeguards or punishments to prevent it from happing in the first place.

Other cops read this line

The officer argued at the time that he didn't know he was breaking the law, but he later pleaded guilty. He served less than a year in federal prison and paid a $10,000 fine but was allowed to keep his Porsche and Alfa Romeo.

And think that it's worth the risk.

"If I'm guilty of this, every cop in the nation's going to jail," Wendt told CBS News just days before a federal judge sentenced him to a 5-year prison term. Wendt's crimes appear to be part of a nationwide pattern.

I've learned that it first came about as an explicit feature around 2006, I was not awake as a proper human at this point.

Regarding the privacy concerns.

Just now, my friend used her google photos AI to search for photos of me and my dead cat using my name.

I've come to accept that my information is readily available and that I am but a humble fish apart of a school surrounded by sharks, playing a numbers game for survival.

I can't imagine life without it, but I know there was a beforfore time.

As a child who wore down his Princess Mononoke DVD to the point that particular moments would skip or freeze each viewing, the only lasting impacts I've suffered is an inclination towards environmental terrorism and deep seeded short hair fetish.

Otherwise, I turned out fine.

Pretty much any movie by Studio Ghibli.

Maybe not Grave of the Fireflies.

France suggested they might nut up and make an arrest given the opportunity, but I highly doubt it.

If within the past 2 years is recent, I rewatched DB, DBZ, DBS, and all the movies. I'm properly watching DB:GT for the first time now.

Every Easter henceforth, I shall lie awake in fear.

I don't think I've seen anybody mention GeGeGe no Kitarō yet, the anime/manga that single handedly revived interest in Japanese folklore and mythology.

I'm so happy that it's Science Saru that's animating this. I've been a big fan of Masaaki Yuasa ever since Lu Over the Wall. It's crazy how much quality he's put out since 2017.

Damn furries, committing insurance fraud again

Feels like classic dragon ball. Full of joy, new experiences, friends and laughter.

And Goku is a rude little bastard.

That's what I need in these trying times.
