Ummm ackchully the powdered wig look didn't take off until the mid-16th century (funny enough, started because of the syphilis epidemic, a disease which came from contact with the New World) and was reserved for the wealthy elite at the time. Most sailors getting off the first boats would've just been wiry, deformed, and pock-marked hunchbacks ☺️☺️

BTW Conquistadores Adventum is a really good show about the colonization of Americas. It shows how tough the sailing was but also how brutal the conquest was and tells the stories of people behind it.
