Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Who will Florida elect? Will it be the naked fascist they know and love, or the "not charged" sex-trafficker-of-minors they also keep electing for some reason?

Shouldn't need to point out who's who.

Whatever Gaetz does, it needs to be frames as whatever vs predator!

DeSantis can't run again so it will be a new fascist either way.

I really can’t believe that scum Gaetz still has political capital. I thought when you are accused of trafficking sexual minors it’s political suicide. Apparently not. We can do better than this but we just don’t want to.

Only if you're a democrat. If you're a republican, they ignore it and cover up for you until they can't anymore. Just ask Dennis Hastert or Gymnasium Jordan about that.

A jury of his peers decided based on evidence that Trump is a rapist - but you barely even see mention of that anywhere.

“Whoa” Gaetz is thinking. “I’m going to be able to rape a lot of children when I’m governor! “

He is like like that yellow creep from sin city

both as stern conservatives, but with Gaetz as a rebellious gadfly and Donalds as a more conventional hard-liner

"Gaetz as a rebellious gadfly"????

This is the guy who does whatever Trump wants him to do. At first blush, "rebellious" doesn't seem to be a good fit for him. I guess he's rebellious in the same way that the Confederacy was rebellious.

I guess, "piece of shit sex trafficking gadfly" didn't flow as well.

Taking almost anything conservatives do seriously will often lead to these funny moments. Their entire thing is being on the wrong side of history over and over again.

I use to have faith in people, boy did I learn a lesson.
Thanks 2016.

Why would he want to be governor... Seems like a step down

[–] jeffw 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

How? Florida has 1 governor and 28 house seats. Being the 1 is more prestigious than one of 28

[–] AbouBenAdhem 7 points 1 year ago

But the governor has to spend more time in Florida.
