I rescued baby raccoons from a dumpster once.

This isn't a shitpost, it's a little touching and breaks down stereotypes. Well done OP
stay strong bro
Nothing wrong with loving animals and crying over their suffering.
And in fact, if someone doesn’t care about the suffering of animals, I want nothing to do with them.
You really need job regulations. In my country if you gonna fire someone you have to pay a lot of money, this way companies think twice.
That's true in the US too. If someone is fired without cause, the company has to pay unemployment.
I've been the manager of completely shitty, toxic people who cause harm to the company and lead to massive turnover of other staff, but was unable to fire them because they showed up on time and met dress code, and corporate wasn't gonna pay for unemployment.
Only in some states
All 50 states. At will employment makes it legal to fire people, but it doesn't relieve the employer of the requirement to provide unemployment if the employee is terminated without cause.
It just means they can't be forced to keep an employee on staff.
Massive turnover and being toxic should be a good cause?
"Being toxic" is hard to define in an employee handbook.
"We don't like you" isn't not considered good cause for termination. It's 100% legal to fire someone for that, but they get to claim unemployment.
Exactly. Usually to fire someone justly for a reason like this, the employer needs a trail of documented incidents, feedback, and coaching. There needs to be an effort by the employer to provide opportunity and resources to improve conduct. Then if the employee does not follow through or continues to show less than adequate performance, there is a better case for termination
Not if the massive turnover is because nobody wants to work with the toxic jackass who is immune to being fired.
Do you have to pay unemployment if they're fired with cause? Because I've definitely seen (and experienced) constructive dismissal over some very petty things.
No. But aside from failure to show up on time or theft it can be hard to document cause.
Constructive dismissal is an employer trying to get an employee to quit specifically to avoid having to show cause. If the employee quits, then the burden of proof is on them, not the employer.
Apologies, I guess my terminology is incorrect.
What I meant is that I've seen people written up for vaping ~2 feet too close to the back door or showing up <5 minutes late or any number of other frivolous things in hopes of avoiding unemployment payments.
Of they can show that they're not being treated the same as other employees who are making the same minor mistakes that may be able to claim unemployment.
The internet: Body shaming isn't right
This thread: Yeah this guy's a freak and I would never want to look like that.
Good job guys
Even fitness models only look like that on the day of the photo shoot, it isn’t healthy
That I know. One of my best friends in high school used to be a body builder. Got absolutely swole and would dehydrate before his competitions. And while I would never do that to myself, I supported him fully as that's what made him happy.
Edit: We don't know if this dude is competing and if he's close to a companion if he is. It's not rightto body shame, and you can't act as if it's for health purposes off of one picture.
Yep. I've been utterly disgusted by so many people in this thread and kinda regret ever posting this. At least I found a whole lot of people I can tag as being problematic as shit to keep an eye on. I don't know how anyone in their right mind believes that it is okay to mock someone based off of the way they look. I kinda do it off of actions. Doing it off of looks is just childish horseshit and I expected better of people here. They should feel incredibly fucking ashamed of themselves.
All these pathetic redditors who left the site but not the mentality.
It's... "bodybuilding". If I see someone with awful face tattoos I'm allowed to think that I would never want to look like that. In both cases they specifically made the choice and spent the time/money to achieve exactly that specific, very noticable look.
Fantastic. You realize they specifically made the choice. And you can think however you want to about it. Don't then go online and talk about how it's terrible and/or make fun of the person.
That's called body shaming.
I mean it’s in the dumpster already so at least you didn’t have to do anything. Maybe say a prayer?
Is he able to move his arms or are they too big to like move around and stuff. Idk what I'm trying to say. It just looks like it's hard to even hold his phone properly lol
That's as high as he can raise his phone. There's a reason that he has to use a mirror to take a selfie
