Bondi alleged New York had given a “green light to any illegal alien in New York where law enforcement officers cannot check their identity if they pull them over.” She concluded:

“Sanctuary Cities,” or policies that local law enforcement won’t actively assist ICE agents, are fully in line with Federal law. And for what it’s worth, Supreme Court precedent has made it perfectly clear that Federal agents do not have the right to commandeer state or local resources to carry out a Federal action.

Officials in sanctuary cities obviously can’t obstruct a federal investigation or action, but they are under no obligation to help. This has long been accepted by legal experts on the right and the left.

The country’s Attorney General flat out lying about the spirit and letter of the law shouldn’t be surprising to anyone at this point, but it’s still worth noting how far we’ve fallen.

Hell, police officers aren't even obliged to help you if you need help.

“If you are a state not complying with federal law, you’re next,” she said. “Get ready.

What if you are a Special Government Employee who is not complying with Federal Law? Or a President? I expect those additional lawsuits any day now....

You know who's responsible for enforcing federal law, Pam? Federal agents. You know who's not responsible for enforcing federal law, Pam? Anybody else.

If your union head keeps targeting you, threatening you, taking the benefits of your relationship and also not wanting to help you ..... why would you want to stay in the union?

It's slowly becoming the ununited states of America

Worthless corrupt piece of shit.

Pretty much the first thing a cop does when they pull you over is demand identification. Fucking crazy that this bitch can just make shit up from the highest legal office in the country.

I mean… to the people running the show now, that’s a feature, not a bug.

Is this going to help the economy?

Only when they're in power do they actually give a shit about the law.

[–] Makeitstop 13 points 1 day ago

They never give a shit about the law, only about using every resource at their disposal to benefit themselves and harm anyone who isn't 100% loyal to them. They don't know or care what the law says, they just know they can invoke it to claim some sort of moral high ground while abusing their power and engaging in blatant corruption.

Her complete conclusion:

Law enforcement officers do not have access to their background, and if these great men and women pull over someone and don’t have access to their background, they have no idea who they’re dealing with, and it puts their lives on the line every single day. Violent criminals, gang members, drug traffickers, human smugglers will no longer terrorize the American people, and that is why we are here today. You will be held accountable if you do not follow federal law. It’s over, it ends, and we’re coming after you.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 day ago

Quick poll: how many Americans here have been terrorized by violent criminals, gang members, drug traffickers or human smugglers lately? According to the MAGA leaders it's a huge problem, so I expect lots of people will have encountered it, right?

A US drivers license increases the risk to the officer over being undocumented, so I guess that checks out.

Statistically, a VA membership card and FOID increases it even more. Should we be forced to show those too for anyone who thinks they look like a domestic terrorist, who are mostly white nationalists?
