Damn why didn't Biden try that /s

[–] [email protected] 51 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Trump is already looking like the impotent elderly moron and he barely just got back in power.

Next four years will be a shit show

If there was any justice in the world then he would have died during his first term.

[–] T00l_shed 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I just think he is too old to govern. (Using the arguments they used against biden)

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

If his being too old to govern was the only problem, I'd be a lot happier.

Shitshow doesn't even begin to describe it

Trump's plan for the next four years:

  • Send Israel bigger bombs
  • Fuck up the environment
  • Fuck up the economy
  • Fuck up education
  • Fuck up privacy rights
  • Fuck up LGBTQ+ rights
  • Fuck up civil rights
  • Fuck up the proper functioning of government
  • Fuck up the military
  • Fuck up healthcare
  • Fuck up our alliances
  • Crib everything else from Biden or Obama <- We are here

But but genocide joe?!?!?!

[–] small44 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

How hard it is to call out trump zionizm without justifying Biden complicity with the genocide

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Apparently very difficult for some. Especially since they chose to abstain from voting, making everything even worse. But, they will continue to justify their decision by not understanding or acknowledging the chaos to come.

[–] JeeBaiChow -2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Right? Let's blame the system and the politicians for a vote I chose not to make.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago

Leopards 🤷‍♂️ they’re always hungry.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 week ago

You missed that the tariff threat means he backed out of NAFTA. Which he re-signed last time.

[–] SlopppyEngineer 8 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

I'm sure he can find ways to make healthcare even worse, sell out the remainder of your privacy to big tech and look for ways to give everybody's job to AI.

[–] kescusay 3 points 1 week ago

You inspired me. I added a few more entries.

Crib everything else from Biden or Obama <- We are here

Here is redundant with some of the other items.

[–] [email protected] 51 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I thought he was supposed to end the war within 24 hours of him taking office?

He hasn't kept his campaign promise!

[–] Valmond 26 points 1 week ago (1 children)

No, it was 24 hours after being elected.

It's so tiresome people even seem to think he even believed it himself, not talking about you ofc go ahead and bash him! But about "journalists" and youtubers etc.

[–] JeeBaiChow 2 points 1 week ago

If you listen hard enough, some even say he was responsible for the ceasefire, even from before he was sworn in.

Actually you don't even have to listen very hard. Stupid is pretty loud these days.

[–] taiyang 18 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Did Zelensky promise Trump hotels in Ukraine or something during his meeting a month ago? Like a Mar-a-Lago in Crimea?

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Probably. And honestly, gross though the idea is, it would have been wise. He has a country to save.

[–] taiyang 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Turning Crimea into Europe's Florida would be worth returning it and protecting it. I just wish I was a fly on the wall to see what the heck he did to sway the orange one.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

Don't do that to Crimea. Nobody deserves that.

[–] brucethemoose 15 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Putin must be laughing in his chair. More sanctions?

[–] Valmond 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Well they do work, it just not very fast.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

As we've seen, they don't work at all if countries like India and China are still willing to trade with them via backdoor channels.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

What we've seen is the exact opposite. The state is running huge deficits, burning through its war chest, and the economy is very hot right now.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Indeed so. But who's loaning them money? Who's buying their oil? It's not no one.

[–] Valmond 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Well burning through their savings, and printing money like Weimar means they do absolutely not sell enough oil. So they do sell but largely not enough.

Even less is better ofc.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Of course, less is better. I'm just saying that for sanctions to have the intended effect, everyone needs to be on board with punishing them.

[–] Valmond 1 points 1 week ago

Well the sanctionsare working. Better and bettet too. Of course russia will try to slither around them, that is to be expected.

[–] DevCat 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Isn't it cute when your little one puts on his pouty face, stomps his foot, and says, "No more broccoli"?

[–] Ensign_Crab 0 points 1 week ago

That was literally George Bush Senior.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago

Man he sure sounded confident he could end things "On day one!"...

Was this really all he had up his sleeve? Pathetic.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Like I get the whole shitting on Trump thing. But it gives me a bit of hope he isn't just cutting Ukraine off or trying to force them to capitulate.

Could even argue he might handle this better than Biden...

Putin must be very weak right now to have his (former?) lapdog potentially turn on him.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 week ago (4 children)

I hate that I’m doing this but here’s the link to his announcement on truth social. https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/113872782548137314

He spends 2/3rd of the post sucking up to Putin.

I really really heavily doubt he will overperform Biden on this.

[–] jj4211 7 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Given the use of the word settle, I am concerned it means Russia can promise to stop with only half of Ukraine and Trump will turn that into a victory and blame Ukraine for being unreasonable...

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago

That is what will happen.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago

Ok I read it.

Here’s my take.

This is a set up. Putin now has to say “ok, ok, we’ll make a deal!”

Then he says he’ll end the operation in Ukraine but only if they retain taken territory.

Then Trump gets to say that’s reasonable, and Zelenskyy becomes the disagreeable one for saying no.

Trump then turns on Zelenskyy.

I give it 3 months before this chain of events becomes reality.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

Ugh, fair enough

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

dude just multiplied Russia's WW2 casualties number by 10x lol

60M?

Highest figures for Russia+ukraine+others combined is 27M!
