I could edit the firmware but I like this just in case there are thermocouple issues.

I can also point a heat gun at it for a minute.

If you're cold, they're cold.

Or doomcube, those should probably be in detached buildings. Or you like to print filaments that are high on fumes and don't have a great way to vent.

If it is too cold for the equipment, it is too cold for me.

This error is a nice indication for me that I need to turn up the diesel heater before starting the voron.

You can check what the value actually would read as if you unplug the thermistor (as that's what it's a protection against), and as long as you aren't near that reducing MINTEMP should be perfectly fine. For example, mine reports something like -50C.

I keep a hair dryer next to my enclosure to get it above the MINTEMP threshold, it’s really stupid, but it does at least work.

Yes, if the reading reaches 0°C the firmware turns off to protect against measurement failures.

There is probably a patch to chamge that temperature.

~9C. The MINTEMP is 10C, I think. I heat it to 11C with a heat gun and it works fine.

Thanks. This will be useful to know in future 👍😁

Honestly makes a lot of sense. The ink probably turns into a solid at too low of a temp.

This is a 3D Printing sub. We print with 215°C molten plastic. Putting the printer into an enclosure is usually enough to heat itself, even in subzero conditions.
