This year, the only side effect that I had from my COVID vaccine was a sore arm.
I’ve kept up on the vaccine
Had both Pfizer and Moderna. Dunno what everyone else’s reactions have been based on the brand, but Moderna sucks. Wiped me out the next day with a headache and body aches. The Pfizer was barely a sore arm and a little tiredness.
Moderna is a bit stronger than Pfizer, so that makes sense. For anyone having a strong reaction to the mRNA vaccines, you should consider NovaVax, a more traditional protein subunit vaccine for covid.
Yo same. Originally got pfizer, the place I went to this year was out though, had to get moderna. I was all achy the next day and just slept through it
I've had a mix of different vaccines, but slightly more moderna than the others
My first dose was moderna and was the only one I had any real noticeable symptoms besides a sore arm. Mostly fatigue and chills.
It was a bummer though, I worked overnight at the time, I went and got it after my shift, probably at around 8 or 9 AM, went home feeling fine and went to sleep, woke up in the afternoon still feeling alright, then a couple hours later it hit me. I pretty much kept to my normal night shift schedule on my days off, so I was up most of the night feeling like shit.
By the time I was ready to go to bed in the morning I was feeling better. If I had been on a normal schedule and had gotten the shot first thing in the morning I probably would have slept through the worst of it and wouldn't have noticed anything.
Haven't had any real symptoms from any of my subsequent doses, the last one I got a couple months ago maybe left me feeling a little fatigued, but it's hard to say because I got it at a time when my sleep schedule was kind of fucked up from some other stuff and I'd been really busy so I might have just been the normal kind of tired.
Same, my reaction was super mild compared to previous years where I felt sick as a dog for two days.
Sore arm and bit of a fever overnight. Very mild but felt like it was radiating from my arm.
Got flu and covid are the same time in the same arm.
Same here, last time I got a booster I had like a fever the next day but this time arm was just a bit sore for a day then all good.
I only got it the first 2 years it was out, but I never had anything but a sore arm as well. I was expecting the worst and took the next day off based off everyone else I knew that got it. It was nice to just have a day off!
I got COVID....I was exposed before the vaccine kicked in....but now I'm in invincible
Just in time for the country to start completely ignoring it as fake news! Woo hoo!
Glad I got my booster.
I guess we're raw dogging covid this time around.
Got my Covid booster and flu shot in mid November. For 2 days now I’ve been pretty sick with aches all over, headaches, dehydration despite pounding water, severe chills, nasty coughing where it feels like someone beat my mid section with a baseball bat.
I’m in my early 40s and tested negative for Covid yesterday, but I’ll be damned if isn’t some flu variant or Covid. Might need to test again since last time I had nasty symptoms for 5 days before my test barely registered positive. It won’t change anything, but I’d rather confirm my suspicions.
Did they test for Pneumonia or Whooping cough? Those are going around right now. Apparently there is a pneumonia variant that is mild enough that people try to treat the symptoms and will proceed with life as normal
Pneumonia is just a symptom of any number of things including covid, the flu, or a bad cold. Basically, any infection that spreads to the lungs.
I did a self test, was waiting to see if it started to get better before I decide to go into a walk in on Friday.
If you have been coughing for longer than 7 days it is most likely one of those 2 things. Hope you feel better
Thank you!
I’ve been coughing for only two days. Last night was the worst but today, during the day, felt like less overall coughing. I am not currently working as I’m doing a career switch and working on certifications so mostly I just need to protect my wife and kid.
