That's a true statement but it's also true that in the entirety of human history no society has managed to wrest power away from the rich for more than a few generations. They may lie dormant for a while but they always come back. Self destructive greed is in our nature.

All the higher up corpos can be together in the office. After all, they seem to enjoy playing around in suits.

100% agree. Leave the people who would work the best at home at home. You want to play the corporate game? Come to the office.

That was always the policy..
We had some major construction done at our work recently. Our boss told us that if we wanted to work remote, do so and just keep it quiet; if we wanted to work in-office-they'd find us space. Everyone was expressly welcome to work remote, except "anyone with 'director' in their title." That was kinda cool.
RTO was always an excuse to fire people. Fuck all the media outlets who pretended otherwise.
