Would be interesting to see where the Supreme Court goes with this. It's blatantly unconstitutional to regulate interstate travel in this way, but who knows with this Supreme Court.

Republicans in Mississippi, Alabama, and Oklahoma have introduced similar legislation, while Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall has suggested states can restrict pregnant residents’ travel.

Let's just put pregnant women in prison, right? If you didn't want to go to PRISON you should have KEPT YOUR LEGS SHUT

... who knows with this Supreme Court.

I think we all know.

The problem is that on rare occasion a couple of the conservatives remember they're supposed to pretend to care about the Constitution.

Just often enough to make it a question for these obvious violations

Leading up to the abortion turnover the Court made loads of "liberal" decisions. I bookmarked them to track. After, yeah, not so much. TBH, I quit tracking so not sure what's happened since.

People will say you're overreacting, but that's literally the next step from Herr President's playbook. The lebensborn program is likely to experience some rebirth, if you will.

CDC quarrantine for a legit public health crisis is illegal, but this is legal?

🤔

Conservatives: yea, that’s right

[–] [email protected] 30 points 1 week ago

At this point being called a hypocrite isn't an insult to them, but a badge of honor.

Hey that's like, fascism right? Isn't that what the libertarians are very strongly against? Sov-cits going to step up?

[–] AstridWipenaugh 31 points 1 week ago (1 children)

They did! Someone sent a Writ of Noncompliance Notice to the governor's PO box with $0.25 taped to it to trigger the Acceptance of Alternate Authority Clause that invalidates all prior laws. There's no way the gubberment is getting away this time!

I hope they remembered to make it a silver quarter. Rookie mistake!

One further step towards Gilead, eh.

[–] kryptonianCodeMonkey 22 points 1 week ago

We're practically skipping there.

There is no legal justification for this teenager "trafficking" law that does not also apply to adults. If "helping kids get to abortion services without their parents permission" gets you prison time, then next is "helping anyone get to abortion services" can also prison time." From there there's nothing left but "leaving the state to seek abortion services" gets your prison time.

So, do we start lists of where housing is so they can just relocate? I need every one of these to come with what we need to do. Most of us are 9-5ers who need to know what resistance looks like. What is the plan, or are we just commiserating online? I need specific actions we can take from the lightly passive to the militant marching on estates....

I live in the much cooler neighbor state Minnesota. I’ll rent you a room for $1 so you can become a Minnesota resident.

You need to search for local mutual aid organizations, leftist (not liberal) gun clubs (even if you don't own a gun, you need to understand their operation and safe handling), and become familiar with secure digital communication, which does take constant research until you're plugged in.

Beyond that, seek out training in first aid, have emergency supplies, and think about ways your current skill set can be useful in unrest/collapse and expand upon it.

Always remember, not everyone has to be a "fighter." It takes dozens of support personnel to field a single soldier. Also, remember your values, never let anyone convince you to compromise them, as that is what agent provocoteurs are skilled at.

Not allowing Pregnant Women to TRAVEL is called FREEDOM! You know what's NOT Freedom? Gynecologists!

Washington state is such a pretty place to visit, and Oregon is very nice, too. Come out and camp for a few days.

But hurry before the checkpoints go up!

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 week ago

Checkpoints will now included everyone having to pee on this stick. Yeah, it looks like a COVID test, but making you get those tests in insane fascist government overreach, but these other tests are totally legitimate.

Or come to Los Angeles, for a "trip to Disneyland."

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 week ago

I thought they wanted to leave it up to the states. Curious

[–] Feathercrown 12 points 1 week ago (2 children)

So this is like, definitely illegal

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

That last word you used, what's it mean anyway?

[–] Feathercrown 4 points 1 week ago

Perhaps it has been lost to time...

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Is there anyone left to stop them?
