TL;DR

It was unclear why Trump stayed on stage for so long and there was confusion about what was happening when he was up there.

Music played for more than 30 minutes as Trump stood on stage and occasionally made brief remarks in between songs.

Asked why Trump was still on stage, Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung told CNN, “He’s here for the people. Not like loser Kamala Harris.”

How are we in such a shitty timeline that childish name calling is just unremarkable? Every trump supporter should be ashamed of themselves.

Yeah, it's grubby AF. I get that the strategy is to normalise calling your opponent a loser so it feels matter of fact, but it's absolutely fucked that this is how major political candidates and operations work nowadays.

(Also, Harris won the last election, won the nom, and is still up in the polls, whereas Trump has lost so many major contests since 2016 he's uniquely qualified to be called a loser)

To be fair, it's definitely one side doing it more than anyone else.

Sore loser too, 1/6

[–] [email protected] 23 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Right like at least be more subtle and funny in your insults you know. Meanwhile Harris saying "hope he's okay" has so much better landing

This geriatric has dementia. He needs inpatient care. He has no idea where he is or what is happening around him in that video.

[–] cybervseas 15 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Steven Cheung seems like a uniquely unpleasant person within Trump's orbit.

[–] barsquid 9 points 2 months ago

Unfortunately there are a lot of people just as unpleasant or worse in Donald's orbit.

[–] ikidd 4 points 2 months ago

Cheung is a highly respected man in chucklefuck circles.

Just a reminder that fat donnie is always on some kind of drug that is not his actual prescription. Dude was high as fuck and decided to stay tripping out on stage. This is normal behavior for this walking train wreck.

[–] EmpathicVagrant 37 points 2 months ago

He mentions how good it feels or something to that effect and I can only assume whatever he took was kicking in.

The irony of the right wing insisting on jamming it to songs that mock or completely oppose their ideals by bands that would hate their guts is palpable

[–] whostosay 14 points 2 months ago (1 children)

At this point, it has to be intentional. Not by shit for brains rapist Donnie, but by who ever is organizing this political smut.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

Kinda like accusing everyone else of that which he is guilty. It is the music that is wrong…

[–] [email protected] 14 points 2 months ago

When Bush Jr said that Fortunate Son was his favorite song, it enraged me.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 2 months ago

Specifically the Rich Men North of Richmond song. The singer explicitly stated that he wrote this song about them and it cracks him up to hear them playing it. But he does have a line in the song about not using taxes to help obese people, so I guess that's good enough for the Republican party.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago

Let us now palpate this irony.

[–] Rapidcreek 41 points 2 months ago

The man is clearly sundowning in front of everybody's eyes

[–] andallthat 38 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Angling to be considered unfit to stand trial when he loses the election

[–] whostosay 10 points 2 months ago

Out of all the shit here, this tracks.

[–] WrenFeathers 36 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Dude is ALLLL the way out of his mind.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 months ago

Dementia does certainly do this...

[–] [email protected] 25 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Im still convinced he will drop dead from dementia or someshit by the end of the year. I suspect that they are pumping him full of drugs to delay the inevitable, certain stimulants can reduce the effects of mental degradation or even reverse it minutely.

[–] demizerone 22 points 2 months ago (1 children)

My some does this too. He goes to a corner and then shits his diaper. He's 20 months old.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 months ago

At least he has the decency to go to a corner

[–] capital_sniff 19 points 2 months ago (2 children)

This reminded me of the hit 90s movie Super Mario Bros with John Leguizamo when the lead characters got the goomba guys dancing in the elevator.

[–] AngryCommieKender 4 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Apparently, the directors changed the ~~ending~~ entire story of that movie. If they had stuck to the original script, it would have made a lot more sense. There's a YouTube video about it

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago

For the longest time I thought I hallucinated this movie in a fever dream or something. I must have seen it as a kid back in the nineties. But it makes so little sense that I guess I thought I imagined it lol. Watched it like a month back and uh, it might as well have been a fever dream hallucination lmfao

[–] IchNichtenLichten 14 points 2 months ago

They should've laid out a trail of hamberders to lure him off stage.

Sundowning.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It's got to be a money thing .... this guy only acts if it means he loses money or gains money.

It was probably a contractual obligation .... stay on stage for XX number of minutes and we'll pay you .... or we'll pull funding away from you .... whatever it was, it was enough to force him to stay on that stage, even if it meant he just stood there doing nothing.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 months ago

I think you're giving ol' poo-brain a little too much credit.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 months ago

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 months ago

How fuckin high was he!? Holy shit!

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

He's clearly a wedding DJ

[–] robocall 9 points 2 months ago

The playlist is YMCA and macho man on repeat

[–] faceula 5 points 2 months ago (2 children)

But what songs did he play? I'm intrigued.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

The whole thing was televised, you can have a listen for yourself if you want https://youtu.be/bDZgox580B0?t=7447

The guy that wheels him out was on lunch.
