/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

Is it me, or are these getting darker? This isn't the first Riker/Keiko joke, but man. What started out as poking fun at O'Brian is starting to feel like some more deep-seated issues.

Can you show me on this doll where Chief O'Brian touched you?

Whatever would dark about a man who is forever stuck alone in a room, doing a job that could be easily replaced by a computer, not being valued for his efforts, rarely smiling and having attempted suicide at least once? /s

Tap for spoilerAll jokes aside, yeah. The comic is pretty dark. And from what I've seen, it only gets darker.

I wonder if that's how the people in support feel right now, being replaced by incompetent, hallucinating LLMs ...

[–] AceBonobo 5 points 2 months ago

Your last sentence is somehow darker than the darkest O'Brien at work panel.

[–] FlyingSquid 27 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Of course he's joking. Riker knows enough to use contraception or he'd leave little Rikers wherever he went.

[–] [email protected] 28 points 2 months ago (2 children)

And Riker hates other Rikers.

[–] FlyingSquid 11 points 2 months ago

He wouldn't want the competition.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago

So we've seen

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Do they even have to worry about that in the 24th century. I’m sure there are plenty of methods around that would make benign.

[–] FlyingSquid 8 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Riker better not be raw dogging every alien he meets. I'm sure there are all sorts of novel STDs on new planets.

[–] FinalRemix 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

The crew is obviously stored in the buffer. Discrepancies like pathogens aren't reconfigured, surely.

[–] FlyingSquid 4 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Except for all those episodes where someone brings a disease from the planet up to the ship.

[–] FinalRemix 4 points 2 months ago

Plot armor for the diseases...

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Yeah but those are just "Unknown" I'm sure most of the STD's you'd encounter are no longer unknown... Or they haven't shown all the riker escapades;).

[–] FlyingSquid 1 points 2 months ago

Yeah, but Riker keeps going to strange new worlds.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Oh that’s easy. Just take a quite site-to-site transport and the biofilters will clean all that right up.

[–] FlyingSquid 1 points 2 months ago

Sure, so you say. And then suddenly everyone starts turning green.

[–] Darkard 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

"Computer, beam my sperm into space"

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Just the sperm. Still want a melon cream soda.

[–] Darkard 2 points 2 months ago

Remove the baby, leave the gravy

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

…w… wow. I gotta say, that is a new one.

Molly keeps pranking O'Brien because she heard what he did to her older time-twin.

My daughter needs therapy? How about instead I abandon her to die alone like Tom Hanks in Castaway.

[–] Thteven 4 points 2 months ago

Run along girl, you're free now!

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

These just seem mean and depressing for the sake of being mean and depressing

[–] FinalRemix 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Much like the series treatment of Miles...

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

Hahaha, watch the Irishman suffer!
