I see the pea, I see the butter. Where is the nut?
Food Crimes - Offenses against nutrition
Welcome to Food Crimes! This community is here to collect all and any post about cursed food and generally unusual consumables.
Right now, here’s the rules:
- Posts must include an image or video containing food or drink.
- It must be unusual or cursed in some way. a. For example, something like Doritos Milk would be unusual, but normal milk would not.
- No AI posts whatsoever, and any images that were altered (Ex: Photoshop, Gimp) need to be tagged.
How to tag:
To tag your posts, please prepend or append the tag name inside square brackets. For example,[OC] Foo bar baz
or foo bar baz [Meta]
would be acceptable. Multiple tags will require separate pairs of brackets, like so: [Edited][OC] foo bar baz
Here are the current tags:
- Edited - The image was manipulated with editing software.
- OC - You made this cursed food yourself!
- Meta - Relating to the community itself.

(BTW, I’m looking for someone to help mod here! I myself would not be enough if this community goes beyond a few posts a day.)
There is a very bad joke to be made in this comment
I eat my peas with honey I've done it all my life It makes them taste quite funny But it keeps them on my knife
Thanks for the nostalgia!
Ok, but what's underneath the peas? Mozzarella, brie, Camembert, fondant, cream cheese, Duncan Heinz frosting? We need to know how big a crime this truly is.
Just normal butter.
That is a lot of butter!
It's almost a butter sandwich flavoured with peas!
Peas really improve the taste.
Why does the butter look like a solid slice of cheese?
Did you cut it thinly?
Yes, I do that when it's too frozen to spread it properly.
How much butter do you go through a week lmao
about 200 g but that includes cooking with it.
Yeah, what's the offense here? I regularly have avocado/pea sandwiches - they're really good.
My wife disagrees.
How would she know what kind of sandwich they eat?
I eat the sandwich, my wife sees and disapproves.
Is a single piece of bread with stuff on it a sandwich?
Yes, its an open faced sandwich
No.
Edit: thank you for sharing; no.
There are so many things wrong or weird here.
I've never seen peas like that, they look more like unripe berries of some kind?
No salt or anything other than peas and butter? I really hope it's not unsalted butter at least...
And what's with the butter somehow looking room-temperature soft in some places and almost frozen in others? It's melty and weirdly solid at the same time. There are places where it has crumbled and cracked like at the top corner of the bread.
I love butter but that's a disgusting amount, it almost looks like you just pressed slices of butter into it and didn't spread it at all.
That's one of the most unappetising pieces of bread I've ever seen.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was proven to be an AI-generated image, the more you look at it the more things don't seem right.
They are fresh peas from a garden and not using enough butter would make them roll away...
I think they're just normal uncooked peas? Which somehow makes it worse
Both the peas and the butter are rather sweet, so it's great.
When I was a kid I would mix my peas and mashed potatoes together then make a sandwich with that. REALLY fucking tasty
Raw peas? Kinda strange for sure.
Do you eat it with a fork and knife, or do you just have a really square bite?
