To be fair, he's also a delusional anti-vax conspiracy moron, so... I'm guessing his PR person stopped him from saying something about 5g and microchips.

Ah damn, do you have a source for that? Edited to add, downvoted for asking for a source is weird, but okay.

As one who doesn’t believe in the germ theory, I find it rather absurd.

Yikes.

Also a 9/11 truther.

Woody Harrelson is pretty much garbage as a person.

Seriously though folks, we’re here to talk about Rampart, in theaters Feb 10.

I wonder what part of Ask Me Anything was unclear to him?

Well, the guy doesn't own a cell phone. He was probably convinced by a publicist to do this "new type" of interview, and wasn't filled in on the details. This is an old guy who has probably done 100's of junkets where you sit for one interviewer after another, and if you don't control the interview, you end up not promoting the movie. You give the same canned answer to 20 different regional stringers, and if anyone starts going off message, they lose their credentials for the next one.

So put yourself in that headspace, and you sit in a room with someone on a computer who is going to read you unscreened questions and transcribe your answers unfiltered. The mere fact that he felt the need to even say "let's stay on the topic of Rampart" tells you that he was entirely out of touch with what an AMA was.

He could have simply ignored the questions about his sexual relationships, and not responded to anything related to Rampart. When none were asked (because lol, Rampart), someone in the room should have explained to him that it was an open forum to discuss anything, and trying to control the room would be met with backlash.

So yeah, to answer your question, "all of it." He didn't get it at all. But I don't think that's entirely his fault. He's just an old guy who is out of touch and likes to sleep with prom attendees.

Mom, quick, pull over! It's Woody Harrelson! We need to learn about Rampart!

I am an IT technician, I have a personal and company phone, when I am off work, my company phones stays at home turned off.

My manager has my personal number, so if there is a huge disaster, he can reach me.

It has never happened.

But I guess when you're in trouble you can call for help instead of having to walk to the nearest phone booth.

[–] cm0002 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

walk to the nearest phone booth.

I have not seen a working phone booth in many years now, so that might be a VERY long walk lmao

Woody keeps a flare gun on him at all times in case of emergency.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 1 month ago

I mean, it's your phone. You aren't required to answer it.

I don't, unless I want to.

[–] SkabySkalywag 23 points 1 month ago

Not sure if it's a mindset, more a rich guy that can afford a personal assistant.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 month ago

He probably just pays someone to use a phone for him, he has enough money.

[–] Mango 13 points 1 month ago

Well, he can afford to not have a phone.

[–] Sabin10 7 points 1 month ago

Just because you have a phone doesn't mean you are under any obligation to answer if or respond to messages. My phone is for me to communicate with people when I want to, not the other way around.

[–] Anticorp 5 points 1 month ago

Good for him.

[–] PugJesus 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Mood. I only own a cell for verification purposes. I never take it with me.

[–] dohpaz42 7 points 1 month ago

You mean to tell me you don’t take your cell into the shitter so you can continue to post memes? I don’t believe it!

[–] TunaCowboy 4 points 1 month ago

When I carry a phone it is so that I can get ahold of you, not so that you can get ahold of me.

[–] cmbabul 3 points 1 month ago

I read this like Marty in True Detective

[–] FireRetardant 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I feel like he could successfully star in a movie where the plot is loosely driven by this.

[–] The_Picard_Maneuver 4 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Like there's some major world event while he's out, but he has no clue what's going on because he only checks the news at home.

He just keeps going about his day, wondering why people are acting weird.

[–] Agent641 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I also dont want to be contactable, but I want my memes, podcasts and audiobooks.

[–] schnapspraline 2 points 1 month ago

Just buy a modern MP3-Player, because nearly all of them are Android phones without mic, camera and cellular.

Old, irrelevant man is irrelevant.
