It’s just funny at this point. Russian windows are the leading cause of death.

Executions will continue until GDP improves.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Inflation in Russia will prevent GDP from increasing.

If you kill enough people and then promote birthing there will be significant growth long term.

Windows really seem to be a big safety hazard in Russia…

Sudden onset defenestration. It's an epidemic.

Maybe they should try switching to Macs

:P

In Putins Russia, windows boot you.

They must get on with it now.. find some other way of accidentally dying. If this proves one thing it is either the total lack of imagination in Russia, or the total lack of education on the risks of heights

I think it's done that way for brand reasons.

Dude becomes undesirable -> falls out of window -> everyone knows he didn't fell on it's own

It's fear tactic.

but liquidating in the "regular" way would have the same effect wouldn't it?

With a suicide/accident you don't need to open an investigation. It's basically showing off that the execution is state sanctioned at every level, I'd say.

This comrade didn't defenestrate himself

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 months ago

They just have to add some flourish.
Falling from the basement window on 6 bullets someone accidentaly dropped on the ground while shooting themselves 3 times to the back of the head with hands tied behind their back after totally by accident splashing novichok on their undies.

Man, top ranking Russian officials are hella clumsy

[–] [email protected] 7 points 5 months ago

This is what one gets for blatant honesty in the great state of Russia.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 5 months ago

In Russia, windows doesn't crash on itself, windows crashes you.

[–] Moghul 7 points 5 months ago (2 children)

In a few hundred years it'll be written that during this time a whole bunch of people with important jobs died in Russia by falling out of windows, and there will be people thinking 'no way', when actually, 'yes way'. I'm a little tired of watching history happening in my lifetime, ngl.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Yea, I just want to live in some TV series where nothing significant happens and no one ages.

I don’t know if I’m sarcastic or not.

[–] Moghul 8 points 5 months ago

It just feels like I've been living in a Wikipedia article's "Events leading up to..." section all my life. Now, I don't want to monkey paw it, it's not like I want to live in the Wikipedia article's main events section.

Well, shit.

Edit: I mean I guess people in a couple hundred years gotta get their information from some documents as well. Why wouldn't it be Wikipedia?

[–] ohwhatfollyisman 5 points 5 months ago

putin can't do this shit with linux and that's a leading reason why it's the better OS than microsoft's offering.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago

Russia really needs to investigate the safety of their windows, they seem to be related to many fatal accidents recently...

[–] Sterile_Technique 5 points 5 months ago

ITT: Lots of us who just learned the word "defenestration" from that other D&D thread.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 5 months ago

Shouldn't this read "Several top Russian officials are not at the top anymore"?

[–] MyDogLovesMe 3 points 5 months ago

It’s like Groundhog Day in Russia, just with the economy.

If the economist falls out vindow, …aaahh, another gloomy year.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 5 months ago

Either Russia really needs to work on better building codes, or they need a complete change of government. This is beyond incompetence, even patients at hospitals have been falling out of windows. The negligence is absolutely astounding. /s

The defenestration of a Russian oligarch.
