Our goal is to boycott products that have relations to the Russian economy. If the company works with russia then the company pays taxes in russia. Then these taxes come to the finances of the russian army. The goal is products of russian companies, products of companies that operate in russia, and products produced in russia. #StandWithUkraine

But also push for policy that would enact laws to clip their wings, punish, and eventually either bankrupt or set them straight for real.

The problem with Nestle is that's a pretty long list. Whenever I buy something new I always need to check what the owner of the owner of the owner of the brand is, to make sure it isn't Nestle or one of the other fucked up brands that seem to own everything.
Most Nestlé products, no matter the brand have their logo with the bird in the nest on the back. Smallish with the producer info.
You have to actively look for it, but makes avoiding them a lot easier.
I boycott them for 30 years now and even though they are everywhere, its not too big of an effort to avoid them.
A good method to avoid those is to shop at small local grocers and buy products that are fair trade. Especially for chocolate and coffee.
Their products are just crap in terms of quality, whether they are evil or not. Food from local producers is usually much better for the same price.
One of my favorite things about Nestlé is that five people can talk about how evil a company they are with examples and have it be five different things.
And they are all the most abhorrent things you could imagine.

Not only does Nestlé generally not care about humanity, they are also Swiss, so kinda built on ~~war profiteering~~ neutrality.

No. Because they are also very very rich. So its impossible to be strict. Its just no way!

That the thing that I kinda have trouble understanding.
The big multinationals are expert at extracting profits out of national economies and putting it in tax havens.
If they boycott Russia and get replaced by Russian copies, wouldn't the Russian state get a larger share of profits ?
A company, in principle, cannot care about anything but profit maximization. Nestle isn't evil, it's merely more brazenly expressive of the amoral nature of capitalist production.
You cannot abstain from morality as if it's a choice YOU can make. Your actions on others make others assign your morality.
Institutions that claim to be amoral do so to justify their evil.
Not sure why you are being downvoted. It’s the invisible hand of capitalism that tends to cause evil.
If the current board of directors chose morality over profit, the shareholders would have an obligation to each other to oust the board and elect people who put profit first above all else.
If any one CEO tries to put morality over profit, that CEO will be replaced with someone who makes profit-focused decisions.
It’s all very impersonal as it is just a function of capitalism.
If governments weren’t all bought and paid for, maybe they could make it less profitable for the company to be evil, which would be the only way to make a change.
They break contracts and break the law on purpose, as a company they should be bound to the law or forfeit profit, but governments are weak.
And yet every other company isn't nestle.
Eh, they basically are. It's like the whole anti-Zuckerberg outrage. They're just very visible examples, not some fundamentally different evil.
Not every company is the same, you're just too lazy to think about it.
